  1. ..thats another incurable liar, lets ask a simple question whether the total GDP of Ghana for the past 40 yrs is even anywhere near or equal to a trillion ghana cedis.? The fact that a litigant demands an amount as a judgement debt does not means he should be granted same..
When it matters most for the AG to defend GOG in a foreign jurisdiction he was palpably missing with an endless alibi and excuses .
These Akyem criminals have no shame. They are always out to throw dust into the gullible eyes of unsuspecting Ghanaians..
The NDK, you were mentioning Dr Kotei Dzane was an NPP person.
In any case where is the govt of Ghana going to gather that amount of money to redeem that madness..?

  2. Good Job Attorney General. While all these are great, this country is in a much worse place than it ever was in its history.
All those in the comment talking about how great Akuffo Addo is and how bad Mahama was. The only reason this government fights these judgement debts is because there is no money to pay. They have run the nation dry and are all over the place looking for funds. How will they not fight some of these cases? I would gladly accept this achievement as great if there was money to pay and they fought it because it was prudent. The average Ghanaian is still struggling to make a living just because of bad decisions, corruption and nepotism. Before you sing the praise of this Government appointee, Petrol and Diesel just went up again.
These HUUUGE judgement debts are not as a result of a police officer wrongly hitting someone or some stray bullet killing an innocent soul. They are as a result of government not paying contractors their money when they work with the government. Entire businesses have collapsed because government refused to pay contractors on time, and they run into debt as a result of the credit they took for the government contract.
The bill to prevent compounding interests for nonpayment is quite good but does that not give government the freedom to delay payment even more? I do not know the details of this bill but, soon to be law, but what responsibility does it place on governments to contractors on time and not even consider simple interest calculation in the first place?
I am disappointed at the "intelligent" journalist who did not even try to ask questions on behalf of the business community. With the kind of inflation, we have in Ghana, compound interest for nonpayment of some contracts just makes sense.

  3. From the USA

    JUDGMENT DEBT

Oh Ghanaians, the issue of JUDGMENT debt alone is sufficient for Ghanaians to reject former president Mahama at all times.

I remember vividly how, by then, Okudjeto Ablakwa was defending was defending Asofoton on public television.

You might think that company was for his father.

You might think Okudjeto was NOT a Ghanaian.

Where was his patriotism as a member of parliament.

    Ghanaians, must reject NDC.

CREATE, LOOT and SHARE! THEIR OWN FOUNDER, J.J. gave this description.

    GHANAIANS OPEN YOUR EYES!

  4. AG saved over GHC10 trillion in a fake judgement debt claim. And some Ghanaians a querying where the money is. Is it the education failing some or just plain Tom foolery!!!

  5. Where are the facts. What evidence for these figures 10 trillion cedis. Cedis owed to who? By not paying our pensioniers their interest for investments.

  6. Absolute trash. That is about $800 billion. Ghana's total GDP is less than $85 billion. Even the GDP of Nigeria, which is the largest economy in Africa, is about $400 billion. Who in his right senses, will order a payment of what our whole GDP cannot pay even if we multiply our GDP by ten. Making claims is normal, but it not synonymous to payment, because there is no way a country like Ghana can ever pay such an amount. The irony of the whole saga is that we have so far paid judgement debts in excess of 300 million cedis since 2017, far more than the 167 million cedis paid betwern 2012 and 2017.

  7. I urge Candidate Allan K and his Butterfly Party to use this matter as one of their main Campaign hallmark. Mahama and the NDC are deadly thieves. They careless about Ghana.

  8. This is the reason why Mahama and his NDC want to come back. If Ghanaians did not voted then out of office, all these money safe by Odame and the NPP government would have been paid and our dear country would have been in serious debt. Ghanaians be wise

  9. Mr. Odame, God bless you.
    You are a great man.
You did all these but you are mot blowing your nose.
Why did you keep quiet with the good work done.
    The party also kept quiet.
This alone can retain the party for another 8 years.
    You have made history.

  10. These Nana Shortingo and his NPP guys should give some of us a break. They came up with these statements just because of the huge judgements debt they incurred from the UK court against Ghana.
