  1. How funny is it that Ronnie Chang’s alter ego gets so angry on camera, However, John says Ronnie is so nice in-person, you are NOT sure if he is roasting you?!?! (Incl John)

  2. (1) "Fact Checking in Real Time" — I think it's called studying. I study China and Russia for a living and I literally spend an hour a day with flashcards on Kremlin and CCP talking points and the refutations complete with source material.
(1b) "Fact Checking in Real Time" Yeah, there should be an app that can listen and fact-check in real time. It should be a small jump from taking your lunch order or telling an app to turn on an air conditioner to hearing a Trump Speech and spewing back (a) Where Trump first heard the idea and (b) The data and source of the data.
    (2) We need a few retired, "old money" Billionaires to get together and start a News Organization with the mission statement: "We have people telling us what we want to hear all day long, but for one hour a day, I just want to hear 'The News'." Qatar started to do it with Al Jazeera for any topic that has nothing to do with the Middle East or Qatar, which suggests it's possible.
    (3) I think "Behind The Scenes Fact Checking" would be at least as popular to watch as the show itself.
    (4) I think "The Newsroom" and "The West Wing" should be in a constant state of rerun on major networks just before the real news broadcasts. It should be aired even more than M.A.S.H. and Star Trek (Original) reruns.

  3. The Republican Convention was very much a display designed to rally voters and cheer on Donald Trump to be our last elected President. The nomination of Aedolf Heitlur as candidate for the Socialist party in Geermanie was an enormously positive event, which uplifted the people and gave them hope during a financially difficult time. They had no idea what was a little ways down the road for their beloved nation.

  4. …..my phone ran out of juice. Did Ronnie start barfing /farting? He looked the most uncomfortable and ready to explode. What was in his can? Kosta in those hiking boots and happy socks looked to be the most New York liberal elite of the panel and yet the most unprepared. I think Desi Lydic was trying to mess with me and reclaim "the best legs in show biz" title in Manolo Blahniks from Rihanna. I don't recall a word she said but those 2 sticks of butter spoke a lot. Jordan Klepper remains the mystery guy for me. Somehow I am thinking one day he will come in and that 8ft tall nerdy guy will be in a Dr. Strange cape with english accent to boot, announcing he is actually third cousin to Benedict Cumberbatch. Alas I think this has been the last throes of a liberal insurgency of Comedy Central on the News show.

  5. Listen at 26:20. Jon Stewart nails it!!! When Roger Ailes said we will never allow the truth to sail by unapproved… Listen to the Jon’s full explanation of Fox News’ raison d’etre.

  6. What a great interview and class act! I tried being a Navy pilot in ‘93 with NAVCAD, no go, defunding military after Desert Storm, went the private route. SEL, SES, HP, Complex, and TAA.

  7. I know of The Daily Show from watching Trevor Noah. Didn't think I would like John but he is intelligent and funny.

And why do I get this feeling that Ronny is not into this gig anymore?! He's one of the funniest correspondents but the way he describes his routine seems like he's not excited. Watched him interview one of the guests and he appeared so unprepared. But I love him nonetheless. I just hope he's happy though.

  8. Amazing,,.the mainstream news talks about the nasty rhetoric on both sides promotes. This is so pathetic. I have been for years that Dems r too nice, but glad we take the worldly view instead of cult view. VOTE 💙🇺🇲💙🇺🇲💙🇺🇲💙🇺🇲💙💙💙💙💙💙

  9. Is this just going to be a partisan leftist show that alienates more than half of the Country?
I LOVED The Daily Show until Jon left, now I’m so happy – unless it becomes just anti-Trump/Republicans.
The time when Bush was in was horrible – he wasn’t a Republican & most Republicans despise him today.
Trump is an OUTSIDER…he’s not a typical Republican.
I don’t care if they make fun of him & long as it’s balanced.

  10. Ya know, what I find interesting is that the parties are traditionally for federalist or confederacy government, then split from liberal to conservative within the party. Truly now the parties have fractured into smaller parties under the umbrella of either Repubican or Democrat (i.e. House Freedom Caucus) – which to me is akin to calling all rock music from 91-95 alternative instead of emo, funk rock, or reggae punk, etc. Which I did, but that's not the point.
Also, that 2025 plan is a shift back to Federalism for the party of states rights (at least has been since I was a grasshopper). Dixiecrats and Democrats alike really can't make their own decisions or choose the best path for their constituents despite party alignment. We voters are unable to set state or federal term limits for our Reps or get our districts fairly aligned to help correct what we see wrong with how we're being governed (at least here in OH we can get some items on the ballot still, despite our state reps trying to demolish the little leverage we do have). As an independently minded voter with no desire to align with any party, the situation of this election only serves to underscore the impotency that like minded Americans feel. I guess it makes for a laugh, but would rather it didn't. Just my 2 cents.
Love your show – keeps the endless cycle of news from becoming a drudgery. ❤

  11. So, just a thought. If everyone who thinks John Stewart should just wrote his name in even if he doesn't run. If enough people do it, John Stewart would be president even if he doesn't run…

  12. I get that the correspondents are who Jon finds funny, but i miss Dulce, roy wood jr, and jabouki young white very much. Especially because the patriot act w Hasan is gone, wish there was late night with more different audiences in mind.

  13. Hey! its not at all odd to me that the fake news has more ethics and fact-checking than the real news. not at all.

The team is absolutely on fire, Jon's absence was tough but all of his fledglings have now fledged and the show is better than ever. maybe someday 'daily show alum" will be lighting up the silver screen like "SNL alum"

    welcome back, Jon!

  14. Best updated news with the explanations of what it really reports and the fake news 📰 the journalist wants you to read or listen to. WOW so therapeutic and humorous 💯 percent.
