Joe Rogan Experience #2136 – Graham Hancock & Flint Dibble
Graham Hancock, formerly a foreign correspondent for “The Economist,” has been an international bestselling author for more than 30 years with a series of books, notably “Fingerprints of the Gods,” “Magicians of the Gods” and “America Before,” which investigate the controversial possibility of a lost civilization of the Ice Age destroyed in a…

CIA FLINT & CIA JOE
Both of them are too random and it just goes back and forth. I'd like to see a clear timeline of all evidence, when it was discovered, when and how all theories were put forth and rated how reliable they are by percentage based on the evidence and probability incorporating various other factors, ect… That approach is what blows the Colombus was a genocidal rapist out of the water. It was estimated there were at least 60,000 natives on that island, possibly much more. Accurate or not, there must have been some sort of head-count of the entire island done, so genocide would be quite a feat for a group of 1,200 overdressed men on his second and last trip, even with muskets.
It seems like the typical anti graham Hancock archeologist is also a typical modern liberal.
Which means your got your degree in a "modern college". We don't care what you think you know about history when you refuse to gender an ancient Roman soldier due to "not knowing how they identified while living in ancient Rome."
Flint comes off as very disingenuous. You lose the debate when you won’t outright acknowledge that the majority of space hasn’t even been looked at.
Teams meeting will reduce your HDMI swapping requests. The future is now, join us….
Also evidence of an ancient civilization during the Roman times is apparent when you look at the picts we know they existed as well as the Druids, but no almost nothing about them
It’s also possible that they didn’t need to farm. The wild plants were naturally in abundance everywhere and they didn’t need to farm plants until they’re populations grew after the flood.
I would like Flint a lot more if it weren’t for that whole “attach a narrative of white supremacy to my opponents” thing.
That was fantastic, I would say I come down more on the Flint Dibble side than Hancock. I think Hancock has a lot of interesting ideas about what he's observed and is truly passionate about it, I don't view him as someone who just does this to sell books and make money and that's it, clearly there is passion and enjoyment. But at the end of the day there is more research and more evidence against his hypothesis along with lack of evidence for his hypothesis to the point that I just don't really buy what he's selling right now.
He should bring back this Flint guy alone I want to hear him talk more, it's so interesting ..
everyone talking shit on dibble but he presented mostly nothing but facts, hard data, and science, while the whole time all graham says is yea but we havent looked underwater at all this land mass, that mind you, is spread out so fucking thin along the entire coastlines of every continent, where they have already excavated anyways.
I'm adding archeologists to my list of academics who deny just how amazingly huge the world really is. Ideology always destroys critical thinking and science.
What a tragic dilletant. He looks like the vax figure
This is the Tupac vs Biggie beef all over again 😮
Not at all impressed with this Flint character. Typical smug, close minded, pretentious academic. Not an original thought – all about the status quo. “I don’t have to go there, I’ve seen pictures!” Chuckling at information he’s never researched or explored, as if he’s above it. It’s so off-putting. As Flint shackles himself to the rigid structures and protocols of Western academia, he baselessly accuses Hancock, who couldn’t be more culturally curious, of white supremacy. The irony😅
I like that an archaeologist who specialized in ancient stone tools named his son “Flint.” That’s like a pizza chef naming his kid “Pepperoni”
Graham Hancock: "In the same way that our advanced modern society co-exists with tribal villages in the amazon who live as hunter-gatherers, so too do I think an ancient advanced civilization may have also co-existed with hunter-gatherers."
Flint Dibble: "But we found evidence of hunter-gatherers at that time!!"
Graham Hancock: "Yes… that's what I said I would expect to be found…"
Flint Dibble: "Ah see! You're spreading white supremacist disinformation!!!"
I expected alot more from Mr Hancock. He brought the worst pictures and really just seemed mad.
Watched/Listened on Spotify. Came to YouTube for the comments. Not disappointed.
"Take my strong hand!" 😂 Flint is so smug 👎🏽
Good ending speech by Flint 😁
BC > BCE > BP
This Dittle Flib dude is beyond arrogant lol. Idk who’s right out of these two. But I can tell Flibble Dint has never been punched in the mouth 😂
praise graham thinking outside the box, but it's like flint has a good point in alot of the aguments , graham has good evidence for the Serpent Mound . it's all posiblity though, you can't debunk him
regardless of whether he is right about an ancient civilization before ours. then he is absolutely right about the attitudes of experts, just look at the guy who had the theory on bacteria.
Flint do your homework kid lol
Also, archaeologists can be such blockheads sometimes, why is it so hard to accept the idea that there could have been technologies that we are no longer in touch with? You’re gonna have to do a lot better to convince me that the pyramids were built with wooden levers and wet sand!
Flint seems like a docile dude so why do they have him in a straight jacket?!
But my Dad said… My Dad said… My Dad was an archeologist and I'm an archiologist too!
Dibble dressed like Indiana Jones ffa😂
Never trust a man with tiny hands.
jamie take my strong hand – Flint Dibble
at 3:41: Graham's or Robert's argument is based on the difference in the weathering features shown on the body and head. It is right that the rock source can be close by and its weathering state is equal to that of Spinx. Isn't that supporting that the quarry is contemporaneous with the Spinx and the head erosion on spinx postdate or at least different from that on the body of the Spinx.
Dibble can have a hat off with the mushroom guy
Has to be one of the worst fitting suit to date 😂
Flint started to open my eyes, and you can see Joe start to open his eyes, that Hancock peddles speculations and very little to no evidence. I really like Hancock but he almost lost this debate entirely. That said, the under water stone sites, and the age of the pyramids I'm still on Hancock's side.
I cannot respect flint..he’s a baby..and I can’t help but see onyx the fortuitous when I hear his annoying voice
Should get George from Ancient aliens on the show please 🙏🏽
Indiana Dibble
Flint "I mispoke" Dibble argues with Graham "I don't refute that" Hancock
Sorry when you bring up wHiTe SuPrEmAcY, mYsOgYnY, etc etc to me you lost the argument.
it was hard to listen to this one, like two 5 yr olds going at it
Flint is such an ass!!!
Indiana Gnomes has small hands
I watched Graham's Netflix show. It was more interesting that this.
I think it's the most interesting podcast with Graham so far because they reveal so much about underlying motives.
For Flint's part, he is quite a politician. What he projects is not who he is. He tries to come across as the nice guy who is "just doing what science says is right", but there is an underlying strong passive aggressive tone that is indicative of someone who lacks self confidence and hates himself for it. He wants to crush those that he can to soothe this inner hatred. This often stems from an overbearing Father complex, which he clearly has given the number of mentions, and forms the basis of his incredibly strong bias. He will defend his Father's mainstream point of view to the end to prove himself to his Father. To that end nothing of what he says can be trusted and he will manipulate facts, evidence and events to suit his narrative.
For Graham's part he clearly has some ego complex with a desire to show a superiority over others. He is condescending and easily drawn to emotion. He likes alternative viewpoints because he dislikes being part of the majority (as others are perceived lesser), and it provides an opportunity to prove himself better than others. That is not to say that most of his views are flawed; he is very smart and open-minded and actively searches for ideas that aren't mainstream so likely finds many true new ideas. I agree with many of his points but he is drawn to be biased in favour of ideas that oppose mainstream and inevitably will end up supporting some flawed perspectives. His ego does not help him gain recognition in mainstream circles.
We need Randall Carlson on these
Why is he wearing a hat?
Graham dosent look good here
