I watched your video again. I believe my half cakes became too oily because I did not turn up the heat midway. I cooked them throughout on low heat and probably that is why they got so oily but I now realize that the heat has to be turned up slightly after a few minutes of cooking them on low heat. I am guessing this but am not sure of the solution. I plan to make them again. thank you for sharing the recipe.
