Also, why does Michael the Arch angel and Jesus get described to physically look the same. Skin, hair, eyes, voice of many waters, etc. They are the same.
Sheesh, just because there is a reference to an "angel" does not mean its a created being… an angel is a messenger. In fact so many times in the OT, the Angel of the Lord gets worshipped and that is because it is actually a part of the Godhead who appeared with a message. The name Michael means, "One who is like God." That would be Jesus, the Word of God who is like God the Father, because he is also God.
You would have to ask yourself why Michael will stand up instead of Jesus. Because Michael is not asserting himself over Jesus, because he is Jesus. That's it, Jesus is not created, he is eternal, but he is a God of many names. If this cannot be accepted, you might want to consider lining through every name referencing Jesus in the Bible and write over it "Jesus" to correct the inspired writers of God.

It is the voice of Christ that resurrects the dead at His return. This is this voice that 1 The. 4:16 is referring to.
Interesting! This is probably where Brigham Young came up with his Adam God Theory. Even though Joseph believed that Micheal is Adam, and not Jesus.
Jude 9 But when the archangel Michael, contending with the devil, was disputing about the body of Moses, he did not presume to pronounce a blasphemous judgment, but said, “The Lord rebuke you.”

Where the book of 1 Enoch and Tobit fall into cannon? Wouldn't the false details like 7 archangels have been what disqualifies them?

In old testament there is the lord God,spirit of lord and the angel of the lord.
40 min. God CHOSE His son? God GAVE His son? God SENT His son. God SAVED us THROUGH His son? People who believe Michael is Jesus are believing a theory taught them and then attempting to justify it with Bible references, and people who accept the Trinity hypothesis do the same – they could never EVER come to the conclusion of the Trinity FROM a knowledge of scripture, but only through a teaching from men, which they then "justify" by scriptural reference. It is the great apostasy. Everyone who accepts Trinity rejects Jesus' words in scripture in favor or men who teach apostate doctrine INHERITED from ego-seeking Catholic interpretations.
Time is a part of God – without time, nothing happens, nothing has reality in spirit or material without time. The universe was created, the time always existed because God all-times exists. No relationship between anything and anything else can occur without or apart from time. God holds time within and necessarily always has.
Jesus is a one of a kind creature – as YHWH [He-existing-that-existing] is Himself, as Jesus is the beginning, through whom all apart from himself came to exist. Jesus is a messenger – Jesus speaks to us, as the chief messenger, but Jesus ISN'T Michael. Jesus isn't an archangel, though he's like one – Satan challenges his rule, but Jesus defeated him when he died faithful, and Jesus will defeat Satan further until Satan can no longer resist in any capacity, when Satan experiences everlasting destruction in the everlasting fire.

Mike claims (incorrectly) that Jude claims Jesus IS GOD (ALMIGHTY), whereas Jude clearly states in what Mike later quotes half way through min. 21 that God (He) has spoken to us BY His son – and also that God (He) "created the world" THROUGH His son – in other words, although the son made the world at God's command, it was in fact God Almighty that CREATED the world – just as Noah made the ark, but God designed it, commanded it. God was the creator of the Ark, yet used Noah to MAKE it.
20min/20sec Jude actually describes Jesus as our "only despot and master" – the Greek word "despoten" is an owner in a similar way that a husband is an owner of his wife, so that if Jesus is our owner, then husbands also "own" their wives in a similar manner. Lord essentially means Master, and therefore the translation "Master and Lord" is redundant and therefore obviously incorrect.
I think Mike makes it clear that claiming Michael is Jesus is (although initially plausible as a suggestion) NOT provable based on a complete consideration of the Biblical mentions of Michael, and that in fact, there is sufficient context to rightly conclude only that Michael is indeed NOT Jesus. I grew up as a Jehovah's witness but never accepted their teaching about Michael. It is not as foolish as claiming Jesus is Jehovah (as the Church of Jesus Christ and Latter Day Saints claim) but nevertheless an example of lifting unbiblical human theories as if valid Bible interpretations.
9 min. The Hebrew in Daniel 10 verse 13 translated as prince and princes really means "the head of" as "chief" does. It says that Michael is ONE OF the primary CHIEFS. Certainly it DOES NOT say, THE primary chief (or prince), and therefore it is clear here that Mike Winger has this scripture right (though he did not appear to have looked to an interlinear for clarification).
As every Bible scholar KNOWS: "the Hebraic word [often translated as] "worship" is to bow down before another, whether God or man" – it does not mean what our English word "worship" does. It is right to worship the God Almighty alone, but the Hebrew word often translated as "worship" is far MORE often translated as bow down or do obeisance to, to prevent suggesting that we should worship a man or men etc. The quote "Let all God's angels worship him" comes from a dead sea scroll variant from the Masoretic text, but that Dead Sea Scroll variant actually says: "Let all gods bow to him". Psalms 97:7 similarly says: "Worship him, all ye gods". The angels are sometimes referred to as gods, and the God Almighty is referred to as the God of gods, so these are consistent with one another, and not inconsistent with the Bible at all of course. Of course, Psalms really says "Bow [low] to him, all ye gods."
Nearly six hours into the series and we have covered 7 verses. Not chapters, verses. Buckle in, this is going to be fun.

Jesus having BECOME as much superior to the angels [as much as what? in the previous verse: "After he had provided purification for sins, he sat down at the RIGHT HAND of the Majesty in heaven.] Jesus having BECOME "as much" [just as Jesus is at the right hand of God, angels are at the right hand of Jesus] superior to the angels, as the name he has INHERITED is superior to theirs. [inherited from who? – God, the Father obviously – Jesus inherited what his Father has by being proven His son.]
Mike, your really good and I love this pod but when it comes to stating that Jesus is “probably” not Michael! Let me put it this way Michael is absolutely 💯 not Jesus, just let them know because you sound lukewarm when you open up possibilities. As Christians we should be bold as Paul was bold with Peter when he did not want to congregate with the Gentiles…..so let your Yea be Yea and let your NAY be NAY! never in my life have i ever heard anyone even imply that Jesus and Michael are the same person.
Am I the only one as a Protestant who finds this video opening seriously disheartening? So many of our great preachers seemed to have this serious christological error

You have to really be reaching, to try twist the Word of God to think that Jesus is an arch angel.
2Thessalonians 1: 7-9 refutes this claim saying Jesus will return with blazing fire from Heaven with his powerful angels. Obviously arch angels will be apart of the powerful angels that will be with him.
