It is worth mentioning that not many African leaders are willing to willingly give up power and transition from military rule to a democratic and constitutional government. However, this particular leader accepted the verdict of the people and relinquished power without any fuss. It is also worth mentioning that he never kept any foreign bank accounts or sold public properties to his friends and family. This is a rare feat among African leaders.
One of few military leaders in Africa to hand over power peaceful to a democratic elected government and had brought peace and prosperity in Ghana
