God bless you Dr…. awesome engagement

@mightymediaconceptltd4229

My brother l totally disagree with you that Nigerians should keep on leaving their country to seek for a greener pasture outside their country. The question is this, who came and created hardship in Biafra and in Nigeria so that the indigenes will continue to leave their father Land? The Colonisers is the answer. What is wrong if we the indigenous people should get a better future in our country without travelling to overseas to be enslaved with white man job before we become somebody in life?
We the black people want our country to be like the white man country with industries and companies everywhere in our Land so that there will be job opportunities for the Citizens, we need not to travel out before we can be come a rich person. And this is the reason why the Colonial masters came and created problems for us so that we will continue to be there Slaves in their country and that is the reason why we are fighting for Freedom to enable us to develop our own Country for our own good and for the next generation to come.
If we develop our Nation, we don't need to go to overseas to be enslaved anymore. The white man children do they suffer so much for them to live a comfortably life? The answer is Capital NO.
Then, why should a black person have to pass through hell and fire for him or her to make life comfortable?
Your piece of advise should be let us join hands together to make our country a better place.

Thanks very much for your advice. I am based in the U.K and I understand everything that you have said. I am very thankful for where I am today. I couldn't have achieved 10% of this if I was in Nigeria

All of you who say you japa cos of insecurity. You make me laugh. In the UK primary school children are stabbed everyday. Which is rare in Nigeria. In USA gun shots are rampant like nothing. The killings through gun violence is more than what boko Haram do here. When u are in the mall you are looking left, right up and down cos soon someone will come spray the place. Drugs, you are hated as a man and as a black man it is worse. You have no freedom. I cannot engage in this transatlantic slave trade part 2 called japa

A lot of Nigerians follow trends. They think Japa is a Trend. The whole of Nigeria cannot relocate

@elizabetholufunmilayo1751

You, you are always bringing tales of woes about Nigerians and their Japa things!!!!
Don't you have any good thing in you???

If you have something good doing in Nigeria, you don’t need abroad for anything

Abroad is good as a source of building capital and experience. The key is to know when to go back to Nigeria and settle. 70 to 80% of our politicians lived and schooled abroad at different times. Many are dual citizens. We know that our current president drove a Taxi in US. So did Mike Adenuga. I see going abroad as a stepping stone to enable you be what you ought to be back home in Nigeria. I PREFER TO LIVE IN NIGERIA, REGARDLESS.

Too many people want and expect instant gratification. They often forget that some people arrived long before them, and that those people sacrificed so much to reach where they are today.

There is something about this japa that we have not seen and known.

We are surrogate mothers and fathers for our children. What is the dream of having children? Even bringing them up abroad is not easy.

After we leave this world, that's the last about our children. All they will be saying is I come from Africa and my parents were Nigerian. Honestly, I am dusturbed about the way we Africans are going. Is our only job to give birth and dash to the Oyibo? We work so hard and cant even get the money to take the children back home. Some of them dont even know where we come from.

It took me almost thirty years to understand this truth and I dont find it funny amymore. The thought of this phenomenon sends me into a depression. What was the essence of this life.

Abroad is becoming more difficult day by day. I dont even know how people are surviving. When you live in certain countries, it might take you thirty years to save £100.000.00 which can do nothing for you when you retire in Nigeria.

I dont know who this man is. but that is not really matter. What matter most is that he nailed it and on point. God will continue to bless him. People dont want to hear the truth. I am still in Lagos Nigeria, and cant even afford my Canada student visa because of money but am not giving up yet. I once survived on sachet water alone for many days in this Lagos. and sometimes only by plucking fruits on a tree and eat. No food, no house, no money even that sachet water no credit i collect it. but today nko? Had been pushing my school career since SS1 till day with no help from anywhere. Some people are too soft.

In the early 90’s I remember working as a Security Guard in West Croydon. Standing like a statue for 12hr shifts 6days a week and even ready to make it 7 days a week. 🤣😂🤣😂.

Anyway, from there I managed to get all my Siblings into London by 1996. My roommate got himself a private pilot license by 1996, got an interview with a Commercial Airline. The rest is glorious history.

Truth be told though, England today is very different from those days. I attended University for free with Students Grant but today everyone must get a Student Loan. Nonetheless, it still beats the fuck out that Latrine we call Nigeria. If you can get out, do not hesitate.

Nigerians are very good in talking and in making generalisations. Most of the real life experiences the Dr shared about life, hardwork, mannerisms are true. Having stayed in the UK for more than 15 years, I can tell you folks that one of that great things about living abroad is that you don't need to know somebody influential or a politician to make it in life becuse if you are hardworking, educated, and a faithful child of God you will not just survive but thrive even in the midst of systemic racism. Whenever I experience what is not too pleasant, I remember my dad who schooled in Scotland in the 1950's, a time when education was only for the rich aristocrats in the UK. So to my fellow Nigerian friends whether in Nigeria or abroad, please always cut your coat according to your material, and ensure you get quality education as it open doors. Above all, get rid of the maxim "little work, big money" from your mindset and always be ready to do what others are not doing because if you do not have anything that gives you a competitive advantage you become irrelevant. Live is about making impacts wherever we are and I tell you, you can excel wherever you are whether in Nigeria or abroad if you are intentional about it. I came to the UK more than 15 years ago in search of a postgraduate degree. Now I have a PhD and also a Senior Lecturer. Reflecting on the last 16+ years, there are different scars however, these are part of the trials and tribulations we are promised we will face in this life. So please rather than complain or feel entitled, please work hard to pursue your dreams because anything your mind can conceive you can achieve it. Cheers folks!

Why would you say abroad is better than Nigeria? No where is better than another. It's the same hustle. Loads of people work long and hard in Nigeria and eventually make. Don't expect to be successful without putting in the work. All these jobs he's is naming he did are also in Nigeria but we think we are too big to do such jobs in Nigeria. We prefer to slave for the PINK PEOPLE, we think it is more dignified 😂😂😂😂. Colonial mentality, slave mentality. You can make it anywhere, just be determined, consistent, and put in the necessary work. Abroad ko, abroad ni😂😅😂

Let people make their decisions. Abroad is not meant for everyone. The fact you made it does not mean everyone else will make it. Abroad of those days is not now. Now, even overqualified executives in Nigerian can not get a decent job abroad. There is something called mental wellbeing. Just do what works for you and ask God to lead you. Don't take any step without God's guidance.

In anything you do in life, you must be very intentional. I myself live abroad. I resigned as a top executive in a multinational back home, and I realised that the game in this "UK" is not for me.

Prior to my relocation abroad was an holiday destination for me and my family. However the time my husband decided to relocate it was a real struggle for me cause I had a very good job and a beautiful business back home.

I however decided to go with the flow for 2 reasons. One maintain my marriage and 2 raise intentional kids. I resigned BUT kept my business and put my all into it. Thank God for this decision.

Recall I said I resigned as a top executive. I tried to apply for jobs. None was coming back positive. I redid my CV and I started getting noticed but then again I got offers that will take me back 15 years of my career.

I sat back and asked myself questions what my purpose for relocation was. I again reaffirmed my marriage and kids. I then realised the abroad job market is not for me at least for now. Let my husband focus on the hustle while I focus on my goals and raise intentional kids while growing my business back home.

Yes when I need money which is every month I change funds. But then again am I better about what values I am getting in my kids the answer is a big Yes. Back home I left my kids for nanny, house help, driver and teachers. But here I am watching my kids grow and I am extremely intentional in raising them now.

So I will say again. Abroad is not for everyone. No 2 situations is better. Assess yours and ask God to lead. If it's abroad go for it. If it's yiu growing your life back home go for it.

I chose my FAMILY over everything else.

After relocating you guys will come here to talk nonsense. Come back home. Listen to travel entails many. That's how a friend was discouraged from travelling, he was later kidnapped and killed here in Nigeria. If you have money travel, dont mind this people

@paulodu7955

My friend, you can not survive in many overseas countries with minimum wage. Many people abroad are suffering and would rather return to Nigeria rather than waste their lives in foreign countries.
