A perfect film on every level. Ziegler deserves an Oscar nom. Nicholson is simply divine. The film does not pander and honors the characters in such a human way, it's amazing. Brilliant, quiet and Ziegler made me tear up twice…the last shot of her is beyond. Baker is a force to be reckoned with. Thank you.

I live in Orange County and went yesterday to the AMC at the Orange Outlets, sad to see the theater room was empty and the two other people who eventually came in after me and my sister ended up leaving shortly. I liked it personally but others might not get the point of this film sadly.

A kid with no friends. A lesbian mother's awakening. Mental illness. Quirky stageplay. Lofi indie soundtrack. 100% character actors (read: no pretty people, intentional casting). The only thing missing is Bill Murray's cameo. 🤣 Sad people are sad.

"Hammond Song" is playing throughout this trailer–I've loved it for years, Now here's my question–and PLEASE, SOMEONE HELP–at the 1:53 mark there's a shot people watching the big costumed creatures–the caption says: "Everything changes in an instant"–and the woman between the two stars looks for all the world like one or the Roches. Is this possible??
