Jamie's Moroccan Beef Tagine

This classic North African beef recipe is simple to do and makes a wonderful meal to share. This tagine recipe is like a stew with attitude: seasoned with aromatic spices then coupled with squash and prunes slow-cooked in its own juices. Brilliant.

  1. I love Jamie Oliver and everything he cook is always looking appetizing. Gosh, been following Jamie for more than 10yrs and I have tried many of his dishes. This one is next but I’ll skip some stuff because I don’t have near by lol. 🥰🥰🥰

  2. Recipe is good, looks delicious. The tagine is beautiful. You must be in Morocco. I think that is the Galata tower in the back, so you are in the European quarter.
Why are your lips and teeth black? What have you been smoking in Morocco? 😂

  3. I know this is super old and I appreciate trying to do things your own way but, you got it all wrong there , from the spices to even the name of this thing , tagine on top of couscous is like dunking sushi in ramen it’s insanity , first of all couscous brought cooks for hours and then spices are different from those a normal tagine , cumin doesn’t go in either of those dishes btw, and ras alhanout can only be used in one type of tagine , the way with meat and plums but nothing else . So please this made my eyes bleed don’t make a cuisine what it’s not , I don’t think you’d like to eat some pizza topped with pasta , tagine is eaten with bread and couscous is a whole different thing. Thank you

  4. good try, but this dish is called couscous and not tajine. As for the meat , we never cook meat with tomatoes sause unless it's a minced meat.
It reminds me more of teh algerian and tunisian couscous recepie .

  5. My tagine is standing by waiting for shopping delivery…it's been ages since I used it So big ty for inspiring me to get something yummy cooking. My pet hate hate is when people say yes we're cooking a tagine and then bring out a slow cooker Meh! It's not the same. I know this is definitely different and an old video of how to cook but I'd love to see more. I saw Jamie Oliver pop up yesterday with a tagine recipe and 'Boom' I'm on it🤗😆

  6. I realy love that twist on Moroccan tagine! And omg jamie filmed this recipe in Marrakech, so happy that more celebrity cooks are visiting this great country and spreading it's cuisine to the world😍❤️
