Jamie's Moroccan Beef Tagine
Jamie's Moroccan Beef Tagine
This classic North African beef recipe is simple to do and makes a wonderful meal to share. This tagine recipe is like a stew with attitude: seasoned with aromatic spices then coupled with squash and prunes slow-cooked in its own juices. Brilliant.

Seriously, did you pay people to leave you nice comments????
I love Jamie Oliver and everything he cook is always looking appetizing. Gosh, been following Jamie for more than 10yrs and I have tried many of his dishes. This one is next but I’ll skip some stuff because I don’t have near by lol. 🥰🥰🥰
Great recipe! I like how easy you make the steps to put this together and layer the flavors so nicely. Thank you!
Secret to a good tarjine is a good spice blend and spice steamed cous cous, that takes time and experience. Raisens and pestatio nut and argan oil are good to experiment with.
Jamie chickpeas should be his name..
Only an idiot would serve tagine with couscous. lol.
Recipe is good, looks delicious. The tagine is beautiful. You must be in Morocco. I think that is the Galata tower in the back, so you are in the European quarter.
Why are your lips and teeth black? What have you been smoking in Morocco? 😂
MR CHILLI JAM
ras alhanout is not garam massala
What kind of tagine is this? Jamie Oliver does Marrakech, it says. He does it wrong
I know this is super old and I appreciate trying to do things your own way but, you got it all wrong there , from the spices to even the name of this thing , tagine on top of couscous is like dunking sushi in ramen it’s insanity , first of all couscous brought cooks for hours and then spices are different from those a normal tagine , cumin doesn’t go in either of those dishes btw, and ras alhanout can only be used in one type of tagine , the way with meat and plums but nothing else . So please this made my eyes bleed don’t make a cuisine what it’s not , I don’t think you’d like to eat some pizza topped with pasta , tagine is eaten with bread and couscous is a whole different thing. Thank you
👍👍👍
So its not suitable for beginners
Delicious…I love international cooking…I tried the Moroccan tagine and it was delicious
bro white guy, it’s either couscous or tagine . don’t mix🤢 my Moroccan heritage is crying rn
I know we heard and saw you cook this but is there a recipe?
for f** sake, why people call couscous a tagine and why tf do you mix a tagine with couscous, that's 2 differents meals
0:26 is that a garam masala?
good try, but this dish is called couscous and not tajine. As for the meat , we never cook meat with tomatoes sause unless it's a minced meat.
It reminds me more of teh algerian and tunisian couscous recepie .
I love Jamie's Morocco's food tour, are there anymore episodes? can't travel this summer, so I'm just trying to cook vacation recipes!
Hello Jamie
we cook this meal several times now and it’s very very delicious thank you very much Be safe keep well
He didn’t take the rinds off the squash 👎
Everything Oliver serves up looks like dog's vomit. This is just one reason you know he was never a chef.
What a disaster !! I Can't even watch it
Marakesh ich kenne diese Stadt
He says teaspoons for the spice but the online recipe says tablespoons?? – big difference!
My tagine is standing by waiting for shopping delivery…it's been ages since I used it So big ty for inspiring me to get something yummy cooking. My pet hate hate is when people say yes we're cooking a tagine and then bring out a slow cooker Meh! It's not the same. I know this is definitely different and an old video of how to cook but I'd love to see more. I saw Jamie Oliver pop up yesterday with a tagine recipe and 'Boom' I'm on it🤗😆
prunes never a fan dates always were tastier and more Chilli
Amazing 👏👏👏
I realy love that twist on Moroccan tagine! And omg jamie filmed this recipe in Marrakech, so happy that more celebrity cooks are visiting this great country and spreading it's cuisine to the world😍❤️
What the hec is this?
THIS IS NOT A TAGINE THIS IS COUSCOUS
not even close, but nice try though 😀 😀 😀

When Jamie explained the spices, is he using the spices he listed to make the ras el hanout, or is he using those spices in addition to the ras el hanout?
1:21 "I'm going to gesture some lovely prunes" wtf?!
I'm Algerian and I'm pretty sure there is no pumpkin in tajin we usually use it in couscous correct me if I'm roung
I saw this on oli white
