THE FACTS coupled with my discernment tells me that Iyanla used the pursuit of other networks to try to force Oprah's hand. Oprah gave her a chance on her show and she forgot who led her there and who served her to the people on a silver platter. See, unfortunately, people who have lacked opportunity can form a certain self-destructive streak that shows up when they have been helped to go thus far and they suddenly look at their benefator as the one who is trying to hold them back. It is the kind of streak that women like Monmique and Iyanla have incubated over the years. That demon suddenly rears up its head and whispers to them that the hand that feeds them is the hand that is now holding them down. Oprah obviously paid her dues on her way to the top; she was patient and she expects the same from those who look like her. She is also doing underhanded crap. Years ago, when Oprah got her own talk show, I liked her, my Mom, liked her. She would go around in the audience and let them ask questions of her guest.
