William ford holds the mortgage on platt ,if you kill him he will lose his debt ….🤔
It's so odd how people could do shit like this then have the audacity to go to church.
Paul Dano is a hell of an actor
They do worse too slaves in Africa today then ever in the in those days so glad the slave trade only lasted in America for about 90 years and some God fearing white men ended it
😮😂
Ahahahaha. How he shut up and ran like a girl
How did i not know Benedict Cumberbatch was in 12 Years a Slave???
О чём базарят эти бедолаги?
For context, it is said he paid 1000 for Solomon/Platt. If we consider inflation, that is about 40,000 in today's money, which is a significant amount of money and explains why he took a mortgage to pay for Solomon and is so concerned about him not dying. In conclusion, he isn't just being nice, he would lose a lot of money if Soloman dies.
What's the name of this movie
An absolutely every single movie he's ever made Paul Dano plays the sniveling weasel wimp to perfection.
With all due respect I don't think he was safe there in the beginning
Brian please take those glasses cups they are weapons
It's hard to watch this stuff, Because it's true.
Can we stop stirring up slavery emotions.
That was 160 years ago.
Cucumber patch to the rescue
I hate watching slave movies 👎🏽 and today we act like N
People think only the super rich owned slaves, that is misleading. Over 20% of the southern households owned at least one slave.
woke hollywood version of history.
Pretty sure that’s the actor that played the husband in “Waiting” that didn’t tip and was yelling and asking for free stuff
Amazing to see Antebellum slavery being portrayed in a manner more complex than just "they are inferior and we're evil." No wonder nobody talks about this film.
hardest part of this movie was watching those around him that were not able to do anything..
Is this a Django rip off?
Keep showing it show how Black people was treated😢
I wonder what next slave movie they are creating to reinforce their barbarism. There's a new one every 2-5 years
Is that the riddler?!?!
I love that deep southern accent. I’d love to spend my life talking like Foghorn Leghorn.
Good old times
I know what people love to say the civil war was over, yes, slaves had some to do with it, but the main reason was the south had DEMOCRATICALLY voted, and acquired enough of said votes for the nation as a whole to secede from the union. The north did not let them, even though they had gone through the proper channels, and even had enough support to do so. In short, the south voted to leave, the north said no, so the south decided "they won't let us leave peacefully, so we will have to leave by force"
The Riddler in the 1800s

Scene entirely fiction. Not in the book at all. Read the book, and you’ll hate this film.
Cocks Gun
Runs 😂😂😂😂😂
It was a fictional story, the author spent 12 years in a lunatic asylum in NYC for biting a guy during a barfight claiming he was a vampire before writing Twelve Years A Slave, I was curious about whether the story was real or not because it reads similar to Kubla Khan so I decided to research it out of intellectual curiosity and even read the guy's journal
