Don’t ever change for a woman.
“Different kind of Italians”??? We ARE Italians and you are not.
They are so far removed from their ancestors.
Same as every single other ethnicity in America
Italian / american are 100% Americans ,not italian.. completely different from us.
I'm 100% italian from Sud i have some relatives emigrated to Usa by my nonna part..for experience, them, how are many others italo /american the majority consider italian themselves only for the surname (not Always ) or part of the ancestry, but they lost every habits and costums they dont know neither speak a single word of us language, never seen italy , and consider many american things that not exist there such as recipes foods or uses and stereotype .
People dont ever think to realize the majority of immigrants to any country tend to be the poorer of their native country looking for better opportunities. The poorer you are tend to be the lowest class with bad manners.
Peoples love to mock the Chinese immigrants as loud, dirty and low class. Go to China the people there have more class than most Americans and are well groomed
Same goes for any other country ans race
Italy is less about dna and more on nationalism bc we are completely mixed here in Italy. Italy experiences major migrations, slavery and occupations. None of us are 💯 anymore. We are united by territory, by nation.
from the Italians I've met and the Italians so rudely commenting on this video, I can say as for most immigrants to the USA …. thank god your ancestors left those places …. that's the most important thing about them .. they may have, as many of the italians say here, come from less educated, poorer groups but they built a new world … while the old produces nothing of value and lives off tourists who only come because of an interest in the past ….. not the present.
No such thing as italian americans. Just americans.
no need to swear to make people laugh you are boring
I'm Italian but live on the West coast, never been to the east coast. The whole greasy Italian thing is something I've only seen on TV.
My dad’s family came from a small village in central Italy and my mom’s family was from Naples in southern Italy and they have some different traditions and foods and dialects.
Italian Americans are nothing like those of us who were born in Italy, those who are most similar to us are argentinians.
If the immigrants didn't start to arrive here in the late 1800s (actually way before that – they fought in the Revolution) and establish themselves the way they did, the American connection to Italy would be the same as with France or Spain. Beautiful countries and cultures to visit and admire, but no real regard. Yes, there's the guido culture which makes us cringe. While people from Milan or Florence today still look down on Sicilians and the Napolitano although they all share the same heritage. ***But unlike any other country, America is named after a paisan. So there's that.
LOL!! I like that.
It’s called Americans versus Italians.
Italian Americans have up being Italian in order to be accepted into the America- wide population of "whiteness" and all it's societal accoutrement.
A dude from Italy once told me (Italian American) that we are a bubble of old school southern Italian culture that just didn't progress like Italy did.
Matarrese, dimmi un po'… Da dove arrivano i tuoi nonni?
They are americans not italians
Your name ain't even right. It would be Matarrese with two r's instead of one. It's fucked up what happens to italian names overseas.
It took long years of harassment and discrimination post-Ellis Island for Italian-Americans to become the way they are. Mad respect for them for overcoming it all.
European Italians may be sophisticated with their scarves, but they, on the other hand, have not yet begun the "I hate you for now but I'll love you in a generation or two," Americanization process.
And Sicilians? They are their own genre. 🙂
It's simple, they had children with Americans, ha ha😊
Americans aren't Italian
Mericanu sugnu
It's simple American culture is different than European culture it's always been like that hey gumba watt's up 🤌🏼🍕
If you're living in the US as a US citizen, you're an American, nothing else. This BS of tacking on Blank-American is so idiotic. Are you so desperate for a unique identity that just being American isn't enough?
As someone from Staten Island, I fully concur.
I ran into Italians from Rome who were from their embassy. They were friendly and polite. I told them where my Grandfather and Grandmother were from “ on the boot”. They replied “ testadura” , hardheaded. And “ bandito”.
They were serious …. I laughed .
Big mistake Italians make is thinking us Italian Americans want to be like them…. ummmm no. We came here for a reason. My great grandpa Mario came here after the Mussolini + Hitler debacle in World War 2. How embarrassed I am that I'm from a country that sided with Hitler. And they're the sophisticated ones? Theya re still so racist over there, the southerners are looked at like dirt. Italian American with a heavy emphasis on the American part. We all do that here (XYZ American) in the US because were all immigrants but trust me we are all AMERICAN first.
The worst thing about Italian Americans is that 99/100 of them don’t speak a word of Italian. It’s so sad.
Italy Italians, also known as Italians.
American Italians, also known as Americans 😂
I went to Italy to visit family. The guys are all wearing their girlfriends’ jeans and scarves. The dudes in Europe in general are very effeminate.
