  1. So having both on course for a while now… The Ping is not for hookers (left hitters 😂)… it’s definitely more left biased. The TM is definitely more neutral in flight and does a better job of stabilising flight. For me, TM is a much better option

  2. Tested both at my local AG and just couldn't get on with the Qi10. As someone with an average head speed of 110 and ball speed of 160, I found that the Qi10 was a bit unruly and I just couldn't control the face.

On the filp side, the G430 Max 10K with the Kali'li stiff (28g weight in the head) was perfect. I tend to have an outside to in swing path, which even with center hits will cause a snap slice, so the PING caused me to slow down ever so slightly. This in turn led to a much more neutral swing path and everything went dead straight with around 275 + 15 roll out. Consistency and dispersion were so much better with the PING.

I wanted to love the Qi10 (having been a Taylormade gamer for putter, irons and driver for years) but it just wasn't for me this time around.

I would agree with the assessment that the PING definitely suits strikers with a fade / slice bias as it'll draw shots back into the left side. I could definitely see that a neutral or draw bias golfer would likely start encouraging hooks with the PING and would be suited to a fade bias driver.

If we were all the same there wouldn't be a need for fitting after all!

  3. Pretty sad to see you using the same shaft that fits the Taylormade perfect, we all know thats the shaft is half the game with a driver and the ping is heavier.. So I think thats the wrong setup for you. But I had my fitting with it and a consistens Smash factor at 1,49 10 out of 10 fairways with the shaft from ping (Tour 2,0 Grey)

  4. hit a ton of drives with both of these (and the Smoke). Ping was easily the best. Oddly though – hit the max (not 10k) best and went with that.
been crushing the drives on my SIM since…

  5. Don't get me wrong.. I love a good golf club review as much as the next guy.. But they don't represent my game and the game of the average weekend golfer.. I've played with my fair share of different drives and I have to say the G430 Max 10k with the counter balanced shaft is by far the most forgiving club I've ever swung.. I hit 95% of my fairways and started and finished with same golf ball.. 14 Handicap.. Swing speed 95-100..I also noticed that I had to tee it up a little higher..

  6. I did the same test between the two clubs. I walked away with the Ping in my bag. It performed much better than the Taylormade. Best distance, lowest spin, smash of 1.48 Ping vs 1.42 Qi10, tighter dispersion with Ping. Interestingly, I notice from your review, the difference was most likely club head speed. My avg speed is 92-95mph. Yours is 104+. Seems like above 100mph Qi10 is better, below 100mph the Ping is better.

  7. 9 minutes in and all they did was hate on the Ping and drool over the TM. They hadn’t even hit 1 shot yet. Showing a heavy bias early and the Ping never had a fair shot.

  8. Ping still keeping up ball speed and efficiency despite a lot of heel strikes, compared to better strikes with the TaylorMade. Both great drivers. It just goes to show that the best driver for anyone is the one that they find the middle of the face with! Nice review, fellas.

  9. The entire QI10 line was absolute trash for me. The Ping was so much better. I wouldn’t even put the two drivers in the same league & I’m a TM guy over a Ping guy all day.

  10. The ping G430 max is a better comparison to the qi10 max 10k. The g430 max is way more forgiving than the 10k based on the spin model. You guys clearly havent done your research before posting this video. The pings in order of forgiveness from least to most_ LS, 10k, max, SF.

  11. Great review guys and agree the Taylormade is the best I’m playing Stealth 2 HD best driver I’ve ever had so the new one should be great the Taylormade is about $70 cheaper too.

  12. My experience with the Ping 10K was it really reduced the number of drives that I would take left. On average I hit about 1/3 of my drives hard left and a swing that would normally leave me 30- 50 yards left was only 10 -25 with the Max 10K. You guys experienced it wanting to go left, but I was having a hard time making it go left. I was intentionally trying to hit a shot that would go hard left and I was still leaving it on the fairway.

  13. Tried Taylormade, Callaway, and Ping recently and Ping was the best, for me. I could consistently get my stock fade with only a few straight pulls, but even those stayed in the grid. Then I strengthened my grip and closed my stance just a bit, and was getting baby draws and a few dead straight bombs. Nice driver. Might buy one in two years when the price comes down.

  14. Tried both at the same time at the store walked away with the Ping. The forgiveness imo is just too huge. A good choice anyway as I matched it with my 430 hybrids after I sold the all Stealth 2 everything which was crap.

  15. I think the swing weights probably have a TON to do with the differences in how you all were striking these. There's a reason Ping's stock shafts are all counterbalanced. Your QI10 Max is probably at D4 while your Ping with a Ventus is probably at D6-D7, which is gonna make it feel harder to manage. If you swapped that 28g Ping weight out for a 22g, I'd bet a lot of money that these would be much, much closer for you guys. Or if you tried the G430 Max 10K with a counterbalanced shaft like the VA Nemesys or the Tensei 1K Pro Orange.

I own both of these heads and play the QI10 Max because I tend to struggle with low spin with driver and it gets me consistently around 2300 RPMs. However, I honestly believe the Ping is a better driver for most people. It's lower spin and more forgiving. It just takes quite a bit more work to dial it in — gotta work with the weight, hosel settings and have the right shaft to get the most out of it.
