Everybody are saying it's the same thing, but i can tell you it's not the same because the ingredients is different. Remember that the Igbos cook it with cocoyam, while the calabars cook it with either achi or ofoh. So there's a big difference.

Just that the only connection between the two is the oha leafe. But trust me" this one is the best 😋😋😋

first i've ever heard of a soup like this, looks like a version of seafood okra or fisherman soup, did Mpkafere just drop from god's table in the sky and land on a chef's head in their kitchen? looks like the food of the gods

SisiYemmie I watched this video about a month ago when you posted it. I decided to try it today but forgot that you used oha leaves and bought ugu and uziza leaves. 🤭 However it turned out very well and I really enjoyed the soup. Thank you for sharing 🤗

The local Mkpafere soup uses " Ibaba" as the thickner. I dont know its english name.
The Igbos mainly use achi or offor or cocoyam.
The leave is the same though.
    Well done Sisiyemmie

Afang is my favorite soup!!! However, some igbos make oha this same way you made the soup. The difference is actually the thickener of choice. For classic oha soup coco yam is used as the thickener while some igbo people choose to use achi as their thickener hence the similarity to the soup you just prepared. Anyways, great video as always.

When sisi says it's for flavour believe her. Everytime I try a recommended ingredient from her recipes, the flavour of what I have cooked goes to another level. My favourite Nigerian soup is ogbono soup with fufu
