Europe is eseentailly saying, how dare an American presiden put America first? The've been used to weak leaders, Obama, Biden, who looked out for other countries before looking out for the Americans. EU is in no position to defend itself, and they know it, that's why they will need the US for a long time. US alliance with the EU is like a high school friendship, that will only last so long, and at the end of the day, they will all part ways. Canada needs to build up its Armed Forces significantly to be taken seriously by the US. Canada needs heavily armed nuclear icebreakers to assert its sovereignty in the Arctic. If Canada doesn't do this, the US will do for them and Canada will lose Arctic sovereignty. It's very simple to understand.
If Trump gets Greenland, THIS WILL WEAKEN CANADA'S POSITION with the US even further as the US will be in much LESS NEED of Canadian resources.
