Iran really doesn’t care how the world views Israel, and Israel only cares about what the US and Europe think. And most western governments are still pro-Israel, because they know understand the complexity of Israel’s situation.
The other reasons you provided are more likely: Proxy network at risk, overstretching the UK (during election year) and deterring Israel and US from attacking them or their proxies.
