IPC confirms spread of famine conditions in Sudan
The Famine Review Committee of the Integrated Food Phase Classification confirmed famine conditions in the Abu Shouk and al-Salam IDP camps and in residential and displaced communities in the Nuba Mountains and Zamzam IDP camp. The Global Hunger Monitor added that famine is expected to reach five more areas by next May.
