The government is not taking serious action in such a concerning issue because working on it is not something that will fetch them votes from citizens. I think we, as citizens should shift our focus from fighting about religions to issues which are actually much much concerning. China generated 7.5 tons of carbon per year, and India generated 1.9 tons. The higher the carbon output, the better the quality of life.
How will you tell 1.4 billion Indians to stop trying to raise their standard of living? Americans on average keep their homes at around 22C and drive an average od 14000 miles per year. How will you convince the Americans to give up their comfort?
