  1. You have to be prepared for every possibility when you are driving. When the back end comes out, you can't Just Lift! If you do, the rear wheels will suddenly hook up in the direction they are pointed, and the oversteered front tires will suddenly be loaded and will create a rolling arc that will take you into the outside barriers. You have to stay on the power but modulate it to keep the tail off the wall and slowly load the fronts while you make adjustments to keep it pointed down the track. It takes thinking and planning, not just reacting.

  2. I wonder if California is going to ban all the motorsports when they ban ice, or are they just going to pretend they aren't just doing the "climate change" grift to manipulate millennials and Gen z for power and control.

  3. I love IMSA. While the race itself was great, the infuriating thing for me was NBC staying on and talking during the FCY and breaking away to commercials 2 mins after resuming action. That is a special kind of stupid. But the real big WTF is this; the PiP screen is 40% blank! I have to squint or move closer to the TV to see the race. There is a blank dark screen on the bottom that is 20% of the picture overall, then the header that says IMSA on top, another 10%. The commercial is in the bigger of the two boxes, but there is also a panel of the nameplate of the manufacturer IN the ad under the live action! It is almost as if they were intentionally killing off interest in the best racing in America. I still love it, but I mean, come on man.

  4. Watched it on Youtube TV. Yep…this is why I love the Long Beach race. The sheer chaotic nature makes it memorable. The hairpin incident is the highlight of the race. 10:05 says all you need to know. "Then there is a traffic jam…there just hitting each other everywhere." Also "Fountain Cam!!"
