  1. Everybody are blaming Tinubu who never promised anything to Nigerians, he never engaged in any debate neither did he grant any media interview. During APC political rally in Kano, Tinubu was drooling ‘I want to dance’ with his slurred speech and music was played for him to monkey around, perhaps his dance moves, I suppose.

Tinubu was elected or selected by virtue of being Yoruba not based on any promise, competence or any track records. So who is to blame for Nigeria’s economic woes? Why are highly incompetent politicians so at home within the Nigerian political system? All Tinubu said was that it was the Yorubas turn but he never specified what the turn was all about, the media did not hold him to account neither did the constitutional safeguards.

Bad leadership must not be viewed in isolation rather along with bad follower-ship. I’m not a fan of Tinubu in fact I can’t stand him but let us be fair he never promised a thing so on what yardstick would you hold him to account. America and Britain have elections coming up this year, there political activity with manifesto that can be used to hold elected officials to account.

    Is Nigeria a democracy?
