The older I get, the less impressed I am with women in general. I've gotten to the point that I immediately look at them with a critical eye, and pay attention to how they move, how they interact with people, and can see almost instantly the kind of person they are. What they SAY is meaningless, they will say anything to get what they want, pay attention to how they treat people, especially people that have no power over them (servers/waitresses/repairmen/etc.) and those they call friends, their behavior will tell on them every time.

I know someone that is sweet, kind-hearted, and not that bad looking, BUT, she's a single mother, living with her mom and sisters, and admits to having bad taste in men, and mental/emotional issues. The me from 20-30 years ago would have felt like "Captain Save-A-304"and that I needed to help her, to make her life better, but the wiser, more cynical version of me I am now, knows better. I'm friendly with her, enjoy her company, hell I even think her kid is pretty adorable, but for anything other than a casual acquaintance, it's a "no-go". Her true nature will win out, and she WILL do whatever she needs to to better her situation, and I would never be anything other than a life raft that she clings onto until she finds a "bigger, better, deal". I don't hate her for it, I simply understand her. It took about 20 years after my divorce to get past the "RP Rage" phase, but I finally did it, now I can observe and analyze with little emotion and simply accept what is, rather than rant and rail against what cannot be changed.

Free yourself from emotion, learn to think logically and watch carefully instead of diving in headfirst, you'll save yourself a lot of pain. That said, you have to experience the utter heartbreak and misery before you can truly understand it all, it's the "don't touch, that stove is HOT!" paradox. Until a child learns for themselves that a hot stove will burn them, telling them 1000 time won't make a lick of difference.
