Idris and Keanu also starred in Sonic 3. We need them both to do a live action movie while they’re still physically able. Idris is in his 50’s. Keanu is in his 60’s. Times’ ticking.
I enjoyed facing off with Solomon for the last time immensely. Mechanically the scene was clumsily built, but there was one factor that made it the tearjerker it was always meant to be, and that was… well… I don't need to introduce him, do I?
I always wanted him as James Bond, it was a privilege to have him on a spy role, masterful job, replaying right now.
No offense for the writers but really, for me it was Elba's performance that made the dilemmas about Reed… dillemas.
Isn't it funny? The first time I saw Idris was in the office where he kicked a football in phillis face. I felt like I know this guy! And know he is a character and an actor in Cyber Punk 2077. This is awesome 👌
Best DLC I have ever played!
I was genuinely impressed by his performance as Reed. Elba put so much sincerity into that roll that at times I’d almost think it’s a real person while I was speaking with him as V. CDPR knocked it out of the park with Phantom Liberty and put Cyberpunk back on the map as a result. They went from PR disaster to earning enormous profits and praise. Amazing and almost completely unheard of. Most developers would’ve just let their game rot had they received such backlash, but they did the opposite and doubled down their passion for their work, with a genuine desire to redeem themselves and it’s their player base and it proved to be the greatest comeback in video game history. Cyberpunk is my favorite game of all time and after experiencing Phantom Liberty I’m incredibly excited to see what’s in store from them in the future.
Idris Elba is fantastic. He was incredible in Phantom Liberty. He brings gravitas to every single role.
do you think theres any way for idris to have known that these games are developed on the worlds best pc's then released to the public that owns 3060's?
After playing through I don't see him as Idris anymore. He's Solomon Reed for me. Shows how good the acting was.
I'm playing it now. It's the second time, since I've already completed the original game. But this time on PS5, so it's great, because it feels like a new experience with all the updates. What's even greater is the fact that I can use my edited save games from PS4 to the PS5! So awesome!
Yeah, this must be a nightmare to record indeed. All is inside a studio and the different lines seems almost impossible. Great job!
I think phantom liberty would have been a great movie especially if he was casted to play Reed. Would be a blockbuster even if someone doesn’t know what cyberpunk is.
Guy basically asked the same question thrice🤦♂️ please ask fans before going on an interview
I knew he could spit n i love the wire feffers in rolla he a jack of all trades n kool irl he called my town dodgey spot on mr. Kippa😎👌🍻
You shouldn't give spoilers to gamers like 7:30 I am still playing Phantom Liberty.
I had to side with him over songbird bc I can't go against Idris Elba.
And his tracks were dope
This was my first time hearing his voice, and after playing through PL, I was definitely not expecting a British accent. Is this just part of the skills of a voice actor, or is the American accent just that easy to emulate?
Also more ppl need to watch this vid lol
its obvious a lot of hard work was put into this game, glad Idris was up to the task he absolutely killed it, stole the show. also props to the interviewer he did a fantastic job lots of good q's
Hi. Can anyone or someone tell me why this short movies for Cyberpunk 2077 – Phantom Liberty game they not appear in game like that with So Mi (Songbird), Dogtown, and female V on start with Johnny Silverhand on that AV or that part where again female V appear on background when we launch Cyberpunk game?
Idris and Keanu brought their A games for Cyberpunk.
I wonder if they'll use VR headgear for better immersion when they're trying to act
Just finished Phantom Liberty and what an awesome story and gameplay. It made me come back to play CP2077 and enjoy Night City again. The music, story and characters were so well done. The finale hit hard when I finished PL and got different endings.
He's a great actor, and was equally great in PL, shame we won't get more of his character (or any character) in Cyberpunk. Unless CDPR makes the sequel happen directly after the events of the first.
Oh right, LAyerrrs
Great interview, really solid questions!
wait, he's a DJ?
Idris fits perfectly into cyberpunk
Dude also created a fire song for the game (Choke Hold) 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Not gonna lie. I HATED Cyber Punk when it first came out — for obvious reasons. NOW THOUGH, it may be one of my favorites
Fingers crossed that Idris and Keanu end up IN CHARACTER in the new live action 2077 project theyre working on 🙂
Good Interview! deserves more views
It’s also dropping on Pc and PS5
need more actors of this calibre in video games for sure. This game proved that it does indeed increase the player base and hype around the game as well/
Seeing him Become Solomon reed is really immersive
like he was there
idris elba should voice more characters in games. His acting and all basically like british version of keith david,he's just great in almost every roles.
