Watching this as an American. Love that you guys talk about the issues in your communities and talk/act on it!! I just imagine how much things would improve here if guns were taken here. You guys mentioned he could just be walking down the street carrying a knife…. This is what happens here with guns. You can carry them with you anywhere.. love seeing you guys advocate for the violence your communities experience.
Should've asked Idris if it bothers him that the Americans are trying to change his name to Eedris.

When we were growing up, like Idris, we were into Acid House & House Music, DJing, making trax that promoted love, peace & unity on the dance floor, running pirate radio stations to get our music out there, hanging out in record shops swapping ideas, wearing smiley faces, none of us carried knives to a rave we just wanted to dance, have fun. We weren't about the flashy brand clothes, ridiculous chains, cars, money. Idris is still making & playing House Music for a reason. We believed SO much in our ethos of unity & love that we peacefully protested on mass in Trafalgar Sq for the right to dance & party!!!
TODAY – what are YOU all listening too??!! Rap music & listen to what these rappers are talking on all the time, as if it's cool the gang life & chefing someone, talking on that stupid post code beef AND beefing with each other, looking stupid making dis tracks, wearing all those cubans like some big American rapper flashing off their money – how can this be helping the situation?! Sorry but why isn't Fredo or Digga D out there also helping Idris with this campaign too for example, instead of just making a ton of money keeping the whole image still looking cool to be involved in?! Why isn't Dave joining in with Idris from time to time in interviews, the 2 of the together would be very powerful. Why is it up to our generation to try to reinstate our mentality, what we worked so hard on when we were younger??!!
This show was vital but Chunkz & Filly need to speak up on this matter too, how todays music can also be effecting the situation too perhaps… What is the music they're listening to & dancing to saying in their lyrics in comparison to what we were listening to??!! Deep that one for a second…

That video that chunkz is talking about is as close as you’ll see to the reality in these streets. It’s raw footage of those 2 seconds where the boy goes from being with his girl in the shop to litrally fighting for his life within 2 seconds. Thank god he made it, some ain’t as quick as he was and don’t make it past those 2 seconds. Happens every day
