I Just Became A Trillionaire In Zimbabwe (#176)

Maybe you’ve heard about inflation in Argentina or Venezuela, or 1920s Germany if you’re old school. Yeah, those countries had a crazy situation, but none of them come close to Zimbabwe, a country that really puts the hyper in hyperinflation. The largest bill they ever printed, which is also the largest in history, was 100 trillion dollars,…

  1. We have one last stop ahead on this newest tour of Africa–and it's a big one. Hope you're enjoying the journey.

Also fun fact I forgot to mention: the former dictator of Ethiopia, Mengistu, actually fled to Zimbabwe and is still in exile there today. Didn't think there'd be a connection between the two places but there you go!

  2. Zimbabwe was the bread of africa, but the white minority had possession of 90% of the land , when mugabe asked to give native people theirs land back. The white world was upset and put Zimbabwe through hell. Zimbabwe has been in economic sanctions for more than 2 decades, which led to the collapse of the zim currency. Colonizers are the reasons of our struggle.

  3. 28:36 Nah man, it's one of those things that's definitely dictated on the area you're in. Where i live they will definitely give out warnings to first time traffic offenders but if you make a mistake about half an hour north, you can count on a ticket

  4. Sanctions crippled Zim economy. The west is to blame for the hyperinflation n economic problems of Zimbabwe. Remove the sanctions and Zimbabwe will be an economic giant of Africa coz its got wht it takes to be rich

  5. 1 think I don’t like about Zimbabweans is how they want to tell everyone their problems.sometimes visitors just want to have a good time
It’s not like that lady from Uganda doesn’t have their own issues from Uganda but you never hear them telling visitors about how terrible Uganda is .
Zimbabwe is more that our challenges
Very peaceful country with people who love to have fun .

  6. Zimbabwe has its problems but trust me it’s becoming better and better everyday economically.
If it wasn’t for the devastating 2 decades of economic sanctions from the west which choked our country and assisted politicians to loot we would have been better

  7. Your videos amazed me. I'm from Argentine Republic so inflation and corruption from government and from armed and security forces are sadly not new for me, but how you compose this material including history after Rhodesia makes me compares it to Haiti, a republic founded by people who defeated slavery and that had a promising birth but then central powers harassed them because of the racism. I don't want you to go to such an unsafe place (Zimbabwe looks very similar to Argentina and seems to be a paradise, compared to Haiti), but I believe the way you do these videos would provide a very good point of view.
PS: The people from Zimbabwe look to be very nice! A beautiful place to go.

  8. brother, when i seen what that officer did, my first thought was "oh, their just like NYPD" to hear you say in the states they would have just let you off tells me you've been gone for too long. As New Yorkers you and I both know your not getting let off for running a red light, neither would that guy for blocking the road. dont lie to these viewers bro.
