One of my best lessons yet… who should I help next? 👀
Paige can't be fixed because she is driven by her failure to make the leap from Elite Gymnast to Olympic Squad Gymnast. That shortcoming caused Paige to switch to golf where she made the playing squad, but flopped on the Cactus Tour and never showed the right stuff for the LPGA. In a lot of ways, she suffers from the same insecurities as Britain's Peter Finch. They are both elite athletes physically, but drama queens emotionally. The cold truth is that the best of the best are just born with "an extra gear" that the rest of us don't have. Nellie Korda has "it", but Cheyanne Woods doesn't. C'est juste de lagenetique.
She is such a good putter, that when she is lining up her clubface at address, she should first start with imagining that she is putting to that mark when setting the face. Thanks to both of you, I am going to work on my left elbow for the next 20 practice sessions. Awesome Bryson! keep it up.
The thought that always haunts me when thinking of trying to get the swing path on the downsing more in to out is that I feel like my low point will be way behind the ball. And I think I've actually had that happen a couple times. Keep in mind, I'm like a 25+ handicap. The best round of golf I've ever shot was 96.
I got to the range today and the pointing the elbow at the target cleaned up my mis-hits tremendously; only 1-2/10 were mis-hit and the amount they were offline was cut in half! Thanks so much for taking the time to make these videos.
What a great lesson on golf in general.
Paige cannot be fixed. She is a very broken individual. The best we can hope for is that she finds someone just as broken that makes her feel whole.
Bryson said if you gon be on my channel you come correct. Cover them things up. We here for golf. . Respect
Bryson , she likes you. You need to ask her out. They do not get any better than her.
My hat off to you, Paige, for making it more about golf and your great personality without the pair of distractions. Bryson, way to rep Clovis my man!!
if paige is single. you guys should date. a match made in heaven
Man, I just want to thank you!! This lesson just fixed my golf swing! That tip about the elbow facing the target was a GAME CHANGER! Stopped my pulls instantly!
Her things get in the way !
Love your clinical attitude Dr 🩻
Here's a nerdy explanation of why the elbow-toward-target tip works. To turn the elbow that way, the upper arm bone (humerus) must rotate, and that makes the shoulder socket move up and forward (toward the ball). The collarbone (clavicle) and shoulder blade (scapula) move with it, so the whole assembly is more in front of the ribcage. Conversely, when the elbow is pointing down, all of those shoulder parts drop down and behind the ribcage. With the shoulder low and back, the ribcage turn pushes the shoulder ahead of it, turning too far and too soon. That drags your hands around and the right hand flips over and shuts the clubface. With the shoulder high and forward (elbow-toward-target), the shoulder and left arm can "hang back", moving across the body as the ribcage turns, letting you keep the club moving along the target line with the face square.
The other thing that happens at setup with elbow-toward-target is that the left hand wants to move into a stronger grip position. You can counteract that to some extent by counter-rotating your forearm. Unlike the upper arm, the forearm has two bones that can twist around each other, giving you the ability to twist your hand independently of the elbow rotation. Changing to a stronger grip can make the elbow-toward-target position more comfortable for some people, but it is not a requirement.
One swing thought at a time is plenty. Good job, BD!
Transition to fast
Great lessons but where can I get that polo?
Never heard that before about the elbow. Thanks Bryson.
Awesome stuff. Thanks so much
Paige is so much more likeable when she's not being a social media critic. Bryson is truly genuine.
The way @PaigeSpiranac is looking at you, you can tell she loves Bryson
It’s great that someone who clearly knows the scientific aspect of golf goes to some simple ideas to help the persons golf swing. Really great thank you for sharing.
