  1. Activists need to learn that irritating, inconveniencing, and insulting the general population is not going to make people join your side. Best case scenario, you end up a meme like Vegan Teacher

  2. PETA version of Ash Ketchum: How else am I supposed to make boatloads of money?
Me: They think Ash is making bank?! He probably would have starved to death in the first season if it hadn’t been for Brock!
Then again, I shouldn’t be surprised since they’ve made it clear they’ve never seen an episode of the Pokémon anime in their lives. The game also has Ash claiming something like, “You should have known I never cared about you!” The very first episode had him risking his own health and safety to protect Pikachu even though the electric mouse hadn’t been anything but disobedient and mocking at that point. Multiple episodes since then showed Ash caring for Pikachu, his other Pokémon, and Pokémon he hadn’t caught and sometimes wasn’t even planning to catch. He let his Pokémon go if they wanted to be elsewhere. PETA really looked at the character that had rescued multiple abused Pokémon, cared for them, and wanted them to be well-kept & happy and went, “There’s our villain right there!”

  3. I 10000% am on board with protesting McDonald's, KFC, favtory farming etc.

But going after videogames and STEVE ERWIN is just.. incredibly stupid that isnt how you get neutral parties on your side. Thats how you virtue signal and create an echo chamber.

  4. When i was a child i played the cooking mama thing bc i was into flash cooking games, did nothing bc i didnt read when playing games at the time.
Was weird bc it was on a site with normal children games at that time.

  5. "People can choose what they eat."
Me, who's allergic to a variety of fruits and vegetables, leaving meat as one of my go to's because I can't eat a lot of other options: 🙂

  6. You know, I still remember this PETA ad on a bus stop right across the river from my local art college. It was a naked woman holding a skinned, blood soaked faun saying "You forgot the other half of your coat". This was on one of the most frequently used streets in my city, and barely lasted a week before getting taken down

  7. Has PETA always been cultish from the start? It’s hard to take them seriously. They come off as delusional or edgy, and it’s most likely they’re just doing it to piss people off. Cuz sugar honey iced tea, they can’t be that stupid pushing their idiocy with no actual research and proof. My brain is slowly rotting from their stupid campaigns and trying to tie it to some other issue. The fact they tie their veganism to mass tragedies really show they’re disingenuous. They don’t care about the facts or basic research, they just like the attention by being edgelords pissing people off because they really got nothing better to do in order to stay relevant.

I also blame that organization for warping my view on vegetarians/vegans. I never hated them but thought of them as snobby and holier than thou bs personality. And probably because I had a bigger experience dealing with those kind of vegetarians and vegans.
