  1. Pete, Loved the video. Missing from your picks for mid handicap gofers are the line of clubs designed by WISHON. Easily available in the UK and representing perhaps the best value for money. Tom Wishon is perhaps the best iron and club designer in golfing history and I think his products are just forgotten even though he is responsible for the best club designs used by all the big brands currently.

  2. Thank you, Pete, I have to say put all your knowledge and teaching abilities aside , I've laughed with every video I've watched of yours , really, you are a funny MFer bro., obviously you've been in the industry for a good amount of years, so you get the student, and what were thinking, and or subscribers, whatever you liked to call us, hit the nail right on the head everytime, so Thanks man, not only am I getting schooled but I get a good laugh also, Great job Pete, ! later, be safe all.

  3. How can a 20 HC and 10 HC both have the same golf clubs? Haha totally different golfers… I’m a 10 and I game P770. Easily the best iron for my game. I know 15 HCs who strike better irons than me and I am a better iron striker than some single digit HCs. There’s no perfect set up for mid handicaps

  4. As a mid handicap player that’s played hollow irons for two years now, I’m looking forward to getting rid of them and going back to a standard cavity back design. I was seduced by the extra distance in the indoor testing facility, but it didn’t take long once I got them out on the course to realise they actually made my scores worse. Distance control with them is very difficult, I have quite a consistent swing and with my old irons I knew that no matter how well I hit an iron it would only go so far. With hollow irons it seems that the distance dispersion is all over the place, and it’s not just my irons, I’ve tried different brands and the results are the same, great on mats, inconsistent on the course. So I now have to worry about going long as well as falling short. On approach shots at all the courses I play, the outcome of going long is almost always worse than being short.

  5. I’m a 26 handicap currently, my putting is about the only thing saving me from being a 30+ 😅
Hoping my third year of golf goes better. I’m gonna look into those Cleveland wedges those look class- I could never give up my Callaway irons and Driver!

  6. Great video! It’s like you are in my perfect bag! I’m a 15 handicap currently gaming last years version on that putter and those exact wedges.
About to go for an iron fitting and top 2 choices are currently T200’s or JPX 923’s.
As for the driver I’m using a cobra SZ, but after hitting a friends new AI smoke, I’m seriously tempted to get one of those as well.
Think you are bang on the money!👏🏼

  7. Titelist T200 or P790? I’m stuck on what to get.

I thought the P790’s looked so good but after seeing them side by to the t200’s I can’t tell..

    Anyone sway me either way?

  8. Ive literally in the last week upgraded my game improvements iron Cobra LTDx irons and then saw this. I was cringing waiting for the irons, then they came. I looked through squinted eyes and hallelujah, i bought the T200 irons, phew, i did something right for a change😅

  9. Great content as always. Breath of fresh air your channel is. Very informative. Especially when it came to fairway woods. Needing a new 3 wood. Very informative. Thank you. Keep up the excellent work.

  10. Vlog about average player ball would be good. Started playing the Bridgestone e6 and find it’s a good fit for me. I.e. I don’t lose that many of them so that’s my yardstick of a good ball!😊

  11. I think its important to use this information from the video to round out your golf game. You may be a 8 handicap but hit your driver like a 15 handicap. I personally play off of a 9 handicap but my wedge game is probably closer to an 19 handicap. I switched to the Cleveland CBX2/Zipcore wedges and it boost my confidence with those <100 shots. My point being do not categorize yourself as a set handicap because of your scores. build your bag to strengthen your weaknesses.

  12. Great video! Enjoyed the more affordable and second hand market options. I personally upgrade every other season taking advantage of the end of season deals, especially with Taylormade, Cobra, and Cleveland.

  13. Thank you Peter for the great video and would personally like to thank you for showing clubs from the second hand market. As a retiree I sure as heck can't afford the prices they want for the new clubs today. Thanks again

  14. Sir your a good golfer,. As a mid handicap, i cannot appreciate this episode..

I think you should let an authentic mid handicap to recommend the clubs, instead of you

  15. Nice video !
You tried the Inesis 500 from decalthon, and you liked it.
Brand new, shoosing alone your size, your speed, so shaft (easier for mid handicaper) would have been around 1200 pounds the full bag. I feel that it would be a safer and better choice don't you think ? Or the inesis 900 if you prefer a combo forged/holo.
Even the Stix proposition wouldn't that bad for tath range of player

  16. Just out of curiosity … have you played much with the Sim 2 max woods? Just i'm currently looking for a 3 wood but also money is tight and the Sim 2 max i can pick up for £150 cheaper…is the Qi10 that much better? is it worth the extra cash, because i can and will pay it if you say yes 😂

  17. Really informative video, ive been thinking of hybrid or 5/7 wood to replace a 4 iron as i have a 3 hybrid in the bag with a 3 wood. Wedges were interesting. I was fitted into irons last year and wanted T200's but ended up with Callaway apex 2021 as they felt great. Just gone to a Stealth 2 driver as well. Still some work to do though for the bag. A 15 handicapper.

  18. 1st: I thought "mid HC" is 24 to 30 … ( do the math) 😁
2nd: I cannot play sucessfully without a hybrid (around 22°) and a 5-wood 17-18° – while 3-wood is rarely used (too many mishits).
So for me "mid"HC I need driver, (3w), 5w, hybrid, 5-6 irons from (4), 5 to 9, 4 wedges pw, gw, sw, lw and a putter. Period.

  19. Been following you for a while and must say you have improved in the quality of presentation by SO MUCH, not that you were wonky before but OMG your tutorials ARE BALANCED, informative and not “content” deliveries… you are really helping us to golf better and smarter. THANK YOU!

  20. Thanks for the breakdown….I am firmly in the bottom end of the range you mention as mid handicap (tho hoping to get below this range this summer). I play the older version of that Odyssey putter before the AI came out, but exactly the same shape. I play Cleveland Zipcore wedges, but not the CG version. I have recently changed my irons to the Titleist T200's 5-GW. I only play irons up to 5 iron then have Driver, 3 and 5 wood. I do have a 3 and a 4 hybrid that I can rotate in depending on the course and whether I'll need them. Though how I've been hitting the T200 5 iron in the SIM this winter, the 4 hybrid may not get a ton of play. I played to a 12 handicap last summer and hoping that the addition of the T200 irons and some lessons over the winter will help be bring that down into the single digit range. For the record – I have 5 wood and driver in G425 Max, my 3 wood is a TM Stealth2. It's hard to make a comparison from SIM golf to the real world….but I played my first round ever under par shooting a -2 70 at a local simulator last week. High hopes for summer 2024.

  21. Recently found your channel, after considering taking up golf. Got to say your content is great, even if you’re not that serious of a golfer.

I use to play when I was younger ever so often, until I had my clubs stolen. I bought a 8 iron and putter just for pitch putt that I use once a year if they are luckily.

Now 20 years later I seriously thinking about starting again, going to take myself to the driving range this weekend and practice that old swing before I consider investing in some clubs. Will certainly be forgiven clubs I think. Anyway keep up the great content.
