Not sure anyone still check these comments but I got a question I currently got a Cobra 464 and I am looking for a new driver is this one a good choice for someone who's new to golf and isn't looking to spend 400-500 bucks on a driver, and if not what should I look for? I found this at Costco in sweden for 160 bucks I believe. Or Should I buy their wedges first?
A buddy bought the wedges, he used them for one round, the next day they were on kijiji for half of what he paid for them. Costco golf equipment is junk. Absolute garbage
Keep in mind Costco (Kirkland) has a habit of getting sued for their golf offerings. First Titlelist with the Pro V1 coming after Kirkland balls, and then Taylormade coming after Costco's Irons. These brands wouldn't be coming after Costco with legal suits if their products weren't stealing some decent market share at a solid price.
Really makes you wonder just how much you pay just to have the big names painted on your clubs..
Had two friends buy this an they are very happy with them me on the hand bought a PXG that was on sell I get a little more distance but for the extra 80.00. USD I spent its probably not worth it
I just bought one of these off eBay for $137 new in box. I can’t wait to test it next to this expensive Qi10 I have. If it’s anywhere close, I’m selling the Qi10.
I’m actually ashamed that I bought this Qi10 with this Ventus Velocore shaft. I probably have $900 in that driver, and although it’s forgiving, I don’t really hit it that much farther than my 2006 Titleist 905r! I think my days of buying big name manufacturer equipment are over.
8:07…..They can, but they want to get more than twice what the Kirkland driver costs because of the name that's on it.
Because we're getting grossly overcharged for taylormade/callaway/etc. They know they can get away with it.
I purposely play with supposedly crappy brand’s. It’s fun to beat my competition that has the best of the best, with stuff they would rather die than be seen with.
Question, while the Costco driver may not be better than a brand new 2024 latest technology, would it be the same or better than my older callaway razr x driver?
how much better are todays best vs 5-10 year old tech?
absolutely not true on your carry. you do have a channel that we can go and research. i just watched a video of you hitting ping driver that never one hit went 300 yards your most yardage was 298 you hit more than one over 300 total. so not carrying 280
Wondering if anyone else can answer this question as well, what kind of weights can we use to replace or upgrade on this specific driver? Can we just use any type of weight? Or does Costco sell a weight kit? Thanks.
Try it with your favorit shaft. Change the chaft and try if it changes the performance of the club
I would bet money that Costco had a deal with a major manufacturer like ping, cobra or titleist. They probably have a deal where they take last years design or two years ago type thing and just put their name on it.
I want to see this compared to the Callaway Edge driver in the Costco packaged set.
All driver manufacturers can make a driver of that price and quality but for as long as people will eat up all the buzzwords they spit out each year for essentially no performance difference from prior generations and pay 500 for it, they’re going to keep doing what they’ve been doing.
I put this up against an old 910D3 with same shaft and it out performed it in every #.
"How have they done this?" Because they are not paying the PGA tour pros or advertising which will cost billions across multiple players/TV channels etc…
Riptide is a good, strong shaft
Driver and irons never made it to our stores in Phoenix, AZ
I'm all for these, but WHY did they spam the Kirkland name so big and all over the place?
Ya, but did you pick up some cherry Costco golf shirts?
