How we make biltong without BS ingredients
See how we make biltong from start to finish! (and how it differs from jerky.)
Most meat snacks contain sugars or preservatives. To us “Keeping It Real” means no bulls#&t ingredients!
This is our self-talk when we’re making food choices but it is also our motto for a good life.

There is Biltong and there is Biltong! The best I’ve ever tasted was made in Howick SA. The flavour and meat quality was excellent and it had that essential strip of fat down the side. I préfère to cut it myself, not have it pre sliced. It’s just not the same. Your ‘Aussi tonge’ looks good I’ll try some when I’m next there. Good luck
Gotta love that shaved cardboard in there
I think this is the first YouTube ad I have ever clicked on, this looks like a great product and I want to try it out.
Do you guys export to the USA? This looks delicious!
"without BS ingredients"
"We add some magic set of spices and substances"
I was hoping for the goal temperature and humidity. I just got a old refrigerator that I am going to change into a air dryer for meat.
Hygiene 👌
What does the vinegar do.
Why does the packaging say "air dried steak" rather than "biltong" is there some legal reason you can't market it as biltong?
You guys inspired me to Start a Biltong Business in Zimbabwe.I should say Thank you
Not me seeing this after doing everything wrong😂😂 from the way I cut the meat (against the grain) to the way I hung it out (with little to no room for airflow)
Totally love your sea salt biltong. Grass fed n finished and clean ingredients. The best. Woolworth in Sydney stock them. Is Coles stocking them soon?
Mfuwethu, real biltong is made in Winter in the southern African bush, from those animals…
Bro, check out how to make chilli sticks (bites) it's the best
why oxygen free packages? it provides environment for un aerobic bacteria, no?
Biltong originated as a survival food on the move with Ox Wagons and were made with only salt and pepper. This remains the best recipe for the best Biltong. No vinegar.
Long life to Barbell Foods!!!
Nice
Just ordered mine ,cannot wait to try it❤
Viva South African Biltong!!
none of you are wearing steel toed shoes. I'm calling the authorities! LOL
Just opened my first pack and eat half of the bag,it’s that delicious.
Hi guys, just tucking into your salt and vinegar ones as I'm watching this video, Fantastic flavour, not sure which is best original or S&V They are both extraordinary!! Healthy clean snack love them. Still got the chilli to open looking forward, I'll report back, great work team!
located in southafrica or australia?
what was cost of set up? 1.8m?
Whether consumed on horseback during a busy cattle drive or packed in school lunches, Biltong is definitely our go-to. Our son Bill's full proper name is Biltong for the purpose of legally binding contracts and official government documents. Our grandson is Biltong The Second, but never Junior out of respect for the grand nature of this wonderful product.
You said you would explain later in the video, but you didnt. Why exactly do you cut the meat with the grain?
I just watched your Advertisement. You guys made such a good video, I had to come to your page to leave a comment. Keep up the good work lads!
this just came up as a advert, i went to website found out i can get locally ,im so excited im going out first thing and buying some 🥩
Congrats! This looks like better packaged biltong than we find in South Africa where biltong comes from. There are a few local packaged brands like BullBrand, Takkis, all the chain storer have their own etc, but they are terrible. It's not even qualifying as biltong. That said, we can walk into any butcher and ask for fresh biltong the way you like it. wet, medium, dry.. which ever.
But well done for 'n proper packaged product.
My bru this was one of the best done video's from the fella's train pushing the trolley trays to the cherry walking out with a box that says 6 days later, if this was tinder I'd super like you.
