Public places have their privacy and sanctity that must not be violated and even wearing a bikini is not allowed except in 4 or 5 star hotels and tourist beaches of the VIP tourist category on the condition that there is no excessive nudity and it is as if you are not wearing any clothing on the body because this is forbidden. There is no need to worry or fear because the Libyan people are a very noble and Mediterranean people and the chance of problems happening to you is only 2% due to foolish people and despite this they are very, very rare and can be controlled through the law and the police.
You should try to go to eastern Libya! Some great things to see, ancient cyrinca! The green mountain and Marcus cave one of the deciples.. Southern Libya is great too, some of the areas look like you are in Mars.
