I ask because a lot of people do business in Nigeria without registering. I just want to know if there are any legal implications if don’t register your business.

Phrankleen, how can I access my company already registered under the old system about almost 5 years ago registered with DPR also but have not really done any business yet. My wife and I registered our business about three years ago and needed a lawyer, there was no online facility then, at least none we were aware of. But thanks to our support network in Naija, we did not need to attend in person. It was also more costly then, so now would be a great time to incorporate. Our experience was a professional level of service by all concerned, it was definitely more detailed than business registration in Europe. Very correct. Even though the promo is for business names alone. For limited liability companies and companies registered under part c, the process is different. You still need lawyers for that.
