  1. I am a homeless man seeking to build a YouTube channel to improve my life, but it's so hard to find real insightful information to grow a YouTube channel. Thank you so much for helping the poor people make a living online

  2. Hey Nate, I'm glad I found your channel. I was on YT for a while but I wasn't monetized so I gave up, but now I'm back and I want to try again. Your videos are helping a lot.

  3. Great info as always! I am looking to serve a group of people that are the overlap between 2 niches. I'm a filmmaker and I want to teach some of this knowledge to a different niche. So the group would be, people in niche A, that are also interested in learning to make documentaries. But that overlap doesn't really exist as a separate niche right now. Would that be too small? Can't wait until you release your own information product!

  4. Im still trying to understand a niche. My channel is cooking but I cook a variety of things that I tweet from other cooking channels in my range. Because I was told in project 24 not to bring my own way of cooking to follow other channels. But does it mean i should cook only meats to niche down. I wish i could understand this better. I know who my audience are, but i dont know what they want. Thank you for explaining.

  5. Reviewed this a while back and I want to say that this basic concept has really been top of mind ever since. I watch a lot more YouTube now that I am a YouTuber and I look at everything now thinking about who the target audience is and how a successful channel has risen to the top. For storytelling channels, it’s not always production value, which is something we have identified as important for our channel. So far we’re not tempted to loosen our standards.

  6. Would love to hear your thoughts on my predicament. I am making videos on topics I know well, including current hobbies, interests and lifestyle choices. The trouble is when I switch topics those videos fail with my existing subscribers. My audience is quite fragmented already. Does that mean I need to niche up and just keep everything broad enough to do well with my mixed audience?

  7. And they said "howdy-howdy," and all was good lol 😁 I had to niche down, and I've seen it work with my other channel where I niche'd down to a specific music audience and the video hit 32k views. It can take some time, but it does work! I'm currently trying to figure out the right niche for this channel, but I'm working on it 😂

  8. Fantastic! The final minute really made me sit up and say YES! I know I like what I do on YouTube, but I know it's not quite right and there is another way I want to do it! (Which BTW I think I've already identified.) You're right, I need to get on and do it, a lot sooner! Thank you as always, and here ends my mothers day (UK) binge watch of Nate Black videos:)

  9. I've been learning that a huge part of making successful videos is having fun and being yourself. I think now people want more raw and authentic content and YouTube is the only place for that kind of long form content.

  10. Nate. Very important
