In many cases, you can purchase the same medications without a prescription and at pennies on the dollar in other countries. Do a bit of research.
hmm so i cant bring 2-3 tabs of tramadol through any airport security check in the world then? shame..
Have never had a problem with TSA taking medication away or opening bottles. It’s all in how you act on the way up to security they are watching you long before you even get to the terminal. You act stupid you’re going to get picked every damn time
How come you can put vitamins and such without orig bottles but rxs need original bottle?
My husband takes a ton of prescribed medications. Can he use a gallon zip lock bag for his meds?
One thing I have had numerous problems getting through is medications in injectors that have to be kept cold. I have them in a bag from the pharmaceutical company supplied with an ice pack. I always declare, etc. but twice the bag has been opened, and leftovers-en for quite a while until a special supervisor could examine. One time it was left open over an hour! I was then unable to use that medication and had to get it replaced out of my pocket. $6500!
I only take vitamin D3, Cranberry probotics, and one more vitamin.
Why banned? You have to have your HP medication every day. What about insulin? Do American TSA ver very backwards
I suggest we fly naked and have a full body cavity scan just prior. This lady's crackeling voice is annoying btw.
I have medications that recquires the prescription, the reason and also have it translated into the language of the country i am going to. I live in Korea and one of the medication is considered illegal. That’s why I always have the papers if i need to travel withing the country. Because i could risk being jailed. So look up the list of meds banned in the country you are going especially if like mine they are needed to keep me alive in case something happens.
What about nonprescription medications?
TSA has no rule of which I'm aware stipulating that prescription meds must be transported in their labeled bottles. On the contrary, on their website they throw it back to the states and warn you that some states actually have rules about how you fly with prescription meds. However, the last time I checked it was only 10 out of 50 states that had such rules.
F the tsa, id rather drive, all these stupid rules. The amount of stupid rules restricting out freedom seems like they double every rew years, at some point the only legal way to live will be in a straightjacket.
I think is a big factor is we coddle criminals, instead of restricting them we restrict everyone to make their lives easier. I dont know if anyone has noticed they are taking over whole countries.
Thanks, Megan, for these updates. ❤
. Why not take a pic of the bottle with the prescription on it?
What about liquid medicines in ampules such as many medications for glaucoma?
so….having a medical emergency mid-flight is a policy of the TSA?
I have travelled all of the world and have been required to have a letter or copy the doctor list.
If carrying insulin and needles in addition declaring these to customs most airlines need you to declare cabin staff that you have needles and insulin.
The other issue is carrying extra medication to allow for travel delays.
TSA’s job is to identify and prevent terrorist from getting aboard a domestic plane. Since there are no significant known terrorist threat, TSA has to be accountable for their job, so TSA starts annoying American seniors, infants and mothers to show their authority of stupidity. I attempted to board a plane with a seat cushion purchased from TJ Max, it was a stadium seat cushion to help my spine, on long flights. The cushion was deemed a weapon of mass destruction because of the ingredients used to enforce the cushion properties. It took 3 supervisors to not know what to do with the seat cushion. At the end, I told TSA to throw it out like they enforce on water bottles(what a joke)…they said it had unusual ingredients and could not take custody of the cushion, in the end, after 45 min, I walked on the plane with my seat cushion…what a joke TSA has become. The blind leading the blind.
