HOW TO MAKE ZIMBABWEAN CREAM DOUGHNUTS

Hey guys so I have been craving these Zim doughnuts for ages and there’s not much recipes about it on this platform however l used the one from Fiso check her out. The only thing l will try next time to experiment with is using buttermilk yall know I love it instead of normal milk and see how the texture comes out….

  1. Zim cream on doughnuts so much better than , whats the cream making process they use. Grew up on these and Fresh Cream Buns at break time cost a tikkie (21/2 cents) same as coke and ice cream and chips so for a shilling you could get a lot. 10cents. My pocket money was 25c and I sold old newspapers for extra money.

    – 300g plain flour (sifted)
    – 1 egg or 3 egg yolks
    – 2 tps Allison fast active yeast
    – 60g president butter unsalted
    – 1 tp salt
    – 2tbs water / 50ml
    – 30g caster sugar
    – 160ml milk (Luke warm)
