  1. Ofe nsala is going to end up as my favorite soup. I love the soup. Have never made it, only bought a few times and it's to die for! 😁 Now I have the recipe, I'm definitely trying it out.

    Is ogiri same as iru?

  2. Hi Winnie… This your soup is not complete o… where's the uziza seed, uda sticks and uyayak(it's called Aidan fruit in English). All these add to the flavour and make up the base for the soup. All I can see here is water, ogiri and yam apart from the protein.
You can definitely use cocoyam as your thickener for ofe nsala. I use plantain flour sometimes… It still works.

  3. To be honest I love watching your cooking Winnie but I think you missed out on this Nsala soup, do your findings well and repeat the cooking. The soul is looking like Korean chicken soup ( No Offence). Ogiri in the soup is not a Must, but optional you can correct that. The yam wasn't meant to be blended as juice but pounded and still eaten as meat in the soup.
