This recipe is for oven BAKE only at 350f/180c All ingredients used and exact oven temperature in Celsius and Fahrenheit are stated in the description box beneath the video. Please READ IT. Also It cannot be fried. You cannot use a microwave. Please Oven bake only. Also when I mentioned too much onions making it “too Nigerian” , I actually meant so it doesn’t taste too savoury instead it should have a balance of sweet and savoury since it’s a pastry.
👌👌🌹🌹
I saw this recipie several years ago when I was in 9th grade and tried making it. It's delicious and not hard to make, my family loved it and its been a favorite since. It also reheats very well and doesnt get soggy, if you keep them in the fridge they last a very long time and are ideal for meal planning and taking to work or school as they also transport very well. Great recipie!
Can we use this your recipe but fry the Meat pie?
Thank you so much. It's been educative. I will try it out
Nice one,yummy ❤
Irrespective of the years between, every time I want to make meat pie, I come right back to this video. Thank you, Tosin.
Thank you!

What is the name of butter you use please?
I just watched your video on meet pie making, it's nice, thanks
Your recipe is lovely but why sugar in your flour?
How much is 500g of butter, how many tab spoons
Can I leave the dough in the fridge longer than 2hrs? For 4hrs maybe
Hello, love this recipe, thanks for sharing. Do we need to preheat the oven before placing our meat pies in?
Thanks so much for sharing, you made it look so easy… First time commenting. Love from Indianapolis.
Thank you for the wonderful recipe. Please, I want to know if it's margarine or butter that you used. And also if it's margarine, is it spread on bread? Your measurement cup looks small for the flour. Please what is the flour in grams? Thanks
Was the minced meat already cooked
Wow so delicious😘😘
Why don't you use a uniform measurement system?
I tried it also it's yum
Sounds like our Puerto Rican meat pies except we put ALOT more seasoning which makes our meat pies the bomb!! Make sure u season the meat good that’s the secret!!!
Pls when u bake with high temp, like around 200-250,,what happens?
Good job. I did my first meat pie last week. I did not video as I was scared if was going to be bad. It turned out lovely. I do again and post on my YouTube channel @timeoutwithdon
this is …
how many grams makes 1 cup. I want to be sure because measurement varies from country to country
Very Nigerian, there is absolutely nothing wrong with being one 😅🤣. Love the recipe, I used the recipe. What a hit?! Thank you very much!
Thank you, great recipe. Please can you kindly let me know the flour measurement in grams? Thank you 🙏
Can you make the dough in the evening and keep it in the fridge till the next day and then make the sauce and make the meat pies?
I wish to have the patience to make my own dough. I usually get the Goya empanada dough/ disks, but next time I'll do it this way
Thank you 💕💕
To be sincere any meat pie that has anything other than meat inside is not for me. These potato and onion pie may test amazing but most people want the traditional, the basic meat pie.
First time baking anything with flour. I followed the instructions from this video and my meatpie tasted yummy just like what I get from African restaurants. Thanks
