  1. It’s well-known that oatmeal from the Oatzempic trend will spike blood sugar. Also, I wear a cgm and black coffee does absolutely nothing to my blood sugar. If she thinks that black coffee without cream and sugar spikes blood sugar from caffeine content, then that is something that does not produce the same effect for most.

  2. Disagree with the comment on almond milk. Almond milk has a low glycemic index and low in carbohydrates so it has minimal effect on blood sugar. I drank it while doing keto and it never impacted me.

  3. Ummmm, this is media lying to us consumers. Don’t believe her. She doesn’t know what she’s talking about. I know because I’m a nutritionist.

  4. I am a Registered Dietitian and have.a PhD. I studied caffeine’s impact on blood glucose. The information provided here is completely taken out of context. Nor does this person consider the complexity of food and the importance of fiber, protein, etc. Fruit consumption is one of the most protective dietary factors against all case mortality (death) and cancer. Insulin resistance is not caused by high blood sugar foods, it is caused by over nutrition over time. So disheartening to see such bad advice peddled here.

  5. Ripple….sugar……oil….sure it is good for you….WATER, PEA PROTEIN BLEND (WATER, PEA PROTEIN), CANE SUGAR, VEGETABLE OIL (SUNFLOWER OR SAFFLOWER OIL), CONTAINS LESS THAN 1% OF VITAMIN PALMITATE, VITAMIN D2, VITAMIN B12, TRICALCIUM PHOSPHATE, DIPOTASSIUM PHOSPHATE, SUNFLOWER LECITHIN, NATURAL FLAVOR, SEA SALT, GUM ARABIC, GUAR GUM, GELLAN GUM.

  6. Key to all this is moderation not deprivation. Going cold turkey on coffee if you are a regular coffee drinker is just stupid advice. No one is eating sushi everyday. The alternatives to white rice are harsher for your GI tract. There is nothing wrong with having one cup of coffee a day, eating sushi once a week, having fruit occasionally. It's called living your life, not living with fear.

  7. Sugar spikes ain't a big deal

*SUSTAINED* high blood sugar from insulin resistance IS a big deal

And it is excess fat/oil consumption in western diets that causes insulin resistance

Mainstream media is as wrong on proper diet as they are on the clot shotz

  8. @Today, You should at least verify before broadcasting such utter BS. I'm a food researcher, there isn't any legit research to the ridiculous back black coffee claims. "FRUIT" spikes blood sugar – what a bold claim. Fruits are varied – each can spike blood glucose in each individual differently. For most people, high fibre fruits like apple and berries are absolutely OK. Sushi??? come, on. Sushi has rice but it's also fatty fish which is good for you. Please bring on some quality people on your panel or at least do some due diligence!

  9. Fruits not much sugar eat blueberries & Strawberries. Banana eat in moderation. Also read the ingredients is important. People with high insulin needs to excercise & Fastings.

  10. coffee long-term seems to have favorable effects on diabetes/oxidative stress. the caffeine is likely the culprit in terms of acute increases in blood sugar–just like stress….stick to eating whole real foods..mainly plant based…avoid processed foods..discount all the excess noise/advice.

  11. Black Coffee doesn't spike blood glucose. Fasting for decades while drinking black coffee and it never has spiked my blood sugar. Nurse for 30 years here. I test my blood sugar daily never experienced black coffee spiking blood sugar. My advice, if you want to start getting healthy start every other day fasting or include fasting into your lifestyle.

  12. People in general overeat and that’s where so many problems start. You must learn to say enough is enough and drink a glass of water after a meal helps too. Stay away from buffets or all you can eat fish fry’s. It’s hard though because food is everywhere and available 24/7! 🍔🍕🍿

  13. She doesn’t appear to be the most competent. Obviously attempting TV time and book sales. Another “medical doctor” discrediting many others who actually try to help.

  14. This report is completely false and must be paid for by the big food corporations. What about the top culprits – refined ultra-processed junk (sodas, refined breads, pastas, pastries, doughnuts, cakes, candy) and everything else with added sugars. The list they present is completely misleading. Fruit has so many benefits including fiber, antioxidants, polyphenols, vitamins, minerals. The coffee she's talking about is the type from Starbucks with all the added sugar and refined creams. The non-dairy milk she's talking about is the type with added sugars, additives, and preservatives. The sushi of course only in large amounts with the white rice, but instead of focusing on sushi, what about the everyday fast food (deep fried chicken, starchy potatoes, burgers with refined buns, side of french fries, and of course liquid poison also known as soda). It's disheartening how misleading this report is and the reason why we're all suffering so much. She's missing the whole point where all of the ultra-processed, readily-available junk with too much added sugar and refined carbohydrates are the problem.

  15. Dr Kemper is rolling over in his grave. You can eat all the carb-heavy foods like fruits, tubers and grains and beans that you want as long as you limit the 2 things that cause Metabolic Syndrome: excess fats and excess protein. A high-carb, low-protein, low-fat diet increases the release of hormone FGF21 from the liver. FGF21 allows you to lose weight, have more energy, live longer while eating more calories!

  16. I thank God i found dr. Ken Berry on youtube. He saved my life with PROPER HUMAN DIET. I now at 53 feel much heathier than i was at 23. Standard American Diet, packed with toxic sugar and seed toxic oils will keep you sick.
