oh im so glad to have found this video
! Ting is my favourite pap and I'm committed to learning how to make it during lockdown! Shout out from South Africa
Hiya, you're soooo gorgeous. Just curious, as I'm in a cold climate, should I leave it to ferment in the fridge for 3-4days or leave it on by the shelf?
Millet and sorghum have no gluten or other lectins, so this is much healthier than oatmeal, cream of wheat, etc. Also, fermenting makes grains more digestible, which is another bonus. I will try this recipe. Thanks for the video!
Thank you so much for this I will try it even though it's so difficult to get sorghum here in the UK.
We cook the millet first then Ferment for 2 days this way you do not kill the nutrients for the guts

My grandmother used to make this for me in Zimbabwe. Thanks for this video
Nice recipe,,
Yes!!!! Ive been looking for a channel like this. Im introducing foods to my baby and i want to introduce grains the way it was traditionally prepared to increase digestibility and reduce negative effects.
Thank you!!!!
Thanks for sharing. But I am so disapointed I thought this porridge should take about an hour to make and then manje five days wheeee I am giving away the porridge
Doesnt cooking destroy the beneficial bacteria?
The fermentation is to release the nutrients from the mullet so you get the benefit
Looks like akamu
I thought the video was going to show how to make it from scratch. Grinding down the grains and so on. I will need to check online I guess. Because we can't buy it packets already made in our country.
I tried this recipe after watching your video and I have not stopped making it. It helps me a lot with my digestion. Thanks a lot for sharing.
Who has got more time in this quarantine to make this fermented porridge??
This is a common drink amongst the Bana Bantu tribes across Africa….This is very popular with Bantu tribes in Kenya, infact it is our morning breakfast…
How long can you keep the fermented mix for? Do you cook it all after 3-5 days then can you keep the cooked? How do you store it basically?
Well I don't know how I ended up here but I definitely will try this recipe.
In France and in UK I never heard of something like this before and now I'm very curious!
We enjoy this in Uganda and it can be eaten as a meal in Uganda its not only for porridge
Hum hum yumm! 😋
Ee have similar recipe in Sudan! O suggest u to simmer the dough on hot ghee or butter for few mins before adding water … It will add a wild dimension to the sour umami flavor of the porridge 😄
Cheers
We eat in Rwanda as well
Thank you. What is the name of the artist?
Thank you ❤️
Can you eat it right after fermenting it without cooking it ?
Great video by the way
