  1. Sweet is a pro and deserves an award for bringing these unique recipes forth. They require lots of patience and she does it with so much GRACE. Thank you for sharing sweet and I love those beautiful colors you paired up the meal with at the end😊. Much love Sweet ❤❤

  2. Attieke is made from Cassava and is actually Brazilian; the Portuguese (who introduced Cassava to West Africa) are responsible for bringing this with them.

Cassava is not native to Africa (neither is Maize/Corn)

I am African; I speak from a position of researching the roots of now-common African foods to understand Colonial/pre-Colonial trade influences.

In the northeast of Brazil it is called macaxeira; in the south, aipim or mandioca.

The most popular recipe in Brazil using cassava flour closest to Attieke is Farofa, though Brazilians have varying ‘grain’ sizes and most Brazilian recipes uses a toasted ‘grain’

  3. The Ewes of Ghana 🇬🇭 have the same process ,but they call it Yakayaka, they eat it hot 🔥 also instead of loose grains they compress it into small shapes .Thanks sis . I will try both.
