Owners don’t even wear the full suits . Its a job interview not a beauty runway . You can be the best dressed and have zero skills / experience 😂
Totally over complicated analysis. Forget this blue collar, white collar nonsense. No one has the money or time to buy all these different outfits for all these different type of jobs, just wear a pair of trousers, smart shoes and a shirt. There’s no need for a suit unless at the place you’re working at, everyone is walking around wearing a suit.

I think this is another smart idea, dress as to how they company dresses. Mirror them. That way they can see you as if you already work there hypothetically.
Every job interview I went to ,I am ALWAYS better dressed that the person giving me the interview including business owners themselves . I have seen some wearing clothes you should only wear inside your home and nowhere else.

I would one: Don't go much above the interviewer level.
As a programmer, I know what level of clothing software developers and Dev leads dress in different contexts. Banks are different than start ups – I dress on the level or just slightly above what people usually wear.
The CTO of Google doesn't wear suits regularly. Doesn't make sense go for a middle manager interview in a suit.
