  1. I have to agree that Senegalese jollof rice is the best. 2 years ago, my husband and I went to a jollof festival in NYC. We had the opportunity to taste jollof rice from 20 different countries. Each Chef was the winner of their respective country. Senegalese did not win (they got 2nd place) but it was my favorite, and the favorite amongst my friends.

  2. Jollof even the name come from Senegal. Jollof was an big empire before the modernity. Also this dish name is ceebou djeune ie Rice with fish. We have different other versions with meat, chicken even with dried sea food and every version has the white and the red one. We in Senegal take this dish very seriously, because that’s our National dish from the North to the South-West and Est. Also this famous became by his deliciousness a word Patrimony of UNESCO. Just an advice guys: don’t play with Ceebu Djeune Penda Mbaye name of its creator

  3. I have tasted Senegalese Jollof and I must say it is my favorite jollof rice although I do like it from other countries. I can just taste all the hard work that goes into it. Sooo goos

  4. I am Ghanaian but I agree with you. Senegalese jollof is the original and the best! Thank you Senegal for inventing 🎉 a delicious food❤❤

  5. I wouldn't compare this to Nigerian or Ghana jellof rice as it's an entirely different meal all together, I'm sure it tastes delicious, too,. I'll try it but will tweak a few things like the amount of oil used
