  1. This is actually the best recipe I’ve seen for Egusi on YouTube 1. Very easy to understand and straightforward 2. EXACT MEASUREMENTS ARE GIVEN (I cannot stress how helpful and important that is enough ) 3. A bonus, I don’t like fish, I can tolerate crayfish in small quantities. I’m glad this does without all the other fishπŸ˜‚(also the first I’ve seen) thank you so much for this !

  2. I am a black American but my great grandpa was born in Africa back in 1896 and he was brought over to American by Slavers. I never got to meet him but I was told he and my great grandma told everyone I was gonna be their baby, however my grandma passed resulting in him passing away of a broken heart two months after her. She lived to be 98 and he lived to be 102 year old; I was blessed to be born that same year on their anniversary, so me learning how this dish would make me happy, and at least show I’m trying to keep in touch with my heritage and make him proud.

I’m not sure which part of Africa he is from but I’m saving up to get a full dna history so I can be more accurate. Also wanna try and learn the language.

I’m also learning some Hindu traditions because my great grandma was half Hindu and half white. (Don’t ask about the white part we don’t claim that side of the family and always say no relations.)
