  2. Carnivore is pretty uncomplicated, for the most part. Just eat animals and animal fat. The only other thing you should be concerned with is getting plenty of electrolytes in: sodium, potassium, chloride, magnesium, and calcium. Some carnivore 'experts' may say this is unnecessary, but it will catch up with them in time. I've heard of more than enough people getting heart attacks at an early age because of lacking electrolytes 😬. Aim for 1 gram of protein per centimeter of height… So for you that's like 12 grams 😝😝😝. The rest of your daily caloric needs eat in fats. Grass fed butter, ghee, tallow, lard.

The fat is VERY important as you want your body to become fat adapted, to use fat for fuel in lieu of glucose/carbs. If you don't include sufficient fat your body will convert protein to glucose via gluconeogenesis. This is effectively the same thing your body does with carbs, converts them to glucose for energy. So not having sufficient fat is defeating the purpose.

I wouldn't worry really about fiber if you're doing this short term. Personally, I would go for at least 3 months, but no more than 6. It will take you probably over a month at least just to start becoming fat adapted. Then switch to a diet more sustainable. Something like keto, or ketovore.

Once you go low carb, you won't want to go back to a 'normal' diet for any significant length of time. For the past like 8 years, I started doing keto, then went ketovore, then carnivore, then back to ketovore…

Now about a year ago I started doing what this one doctor here on YT, Dr. Sean Omara MD, prescribes: MEAT & FERMENTED FOOD. This has been by far MY FAVORITE. He convinced me because he shows his own and his patients results via MRI. People formerly from all kinds of diet styles. The changes in composition, especially visceral fat is ASTOUNDING. So now I eat mostly meats with a bit of fermented vegetables, aged cheeses, yogurt, and kefir. The fermented foods give you bioavailable nutrients with little carbs and TONS of probiotics for a healthy, diverse gut colony… This is probably THE ONLY time I believe diversity is a great goal 😜
