  1. If you really want to know what went wrong with Haiti, look at the failed countries in Africa and look for similarities. Once you arrive at the common denominator, you'll have your answer.

  2. Its their country and their leaders. At some point you have to take credit for your own destiny and stop blaming others. Whatever state Haiti is in good or bad is on their people.

  3. The footprints of the Western countries' secret services can be seen all over African countries' conflicts. If you can't see them, it's either because you don't look carefully or you don't want to see them. Yes, I agree with the African citizens who scream leave us alone. LEAVE THEM ALONE.

  4. What the world got wrong ? Haitian people have had an independent democracy since 1850, and as you can hear, thry find ways to say its the French s fault that they can't form anything like a modern society it seems.

  5. It seems strange that this "history" doesn't mention the US-backed (Clinton Administration) coup overthrowing democratically elected left-wing president Jean-Bertrand Aristide, whose economic policies were working. This coup forced Neoliberal economic policies onto Haiti, and made the country food insecure. Why is it that western news organizations like DW don't talk about such things? Hmmm… seems slightly suspicious.

We wouldn't even know about the coup if it weren't for Julian Assange and those he worked with, but, again… the United States wants to keep Assange, a journalist who blew the whistle on corruption in the American government, imprisoned.

  6. Now i ask myself, who create dominica rep on the soil of haitians. Dominican rep is like a big settlement that violate the property of Haïti. THAT THE PROBLEM OF FALSE "FRIENDS" OF HAÏTI …ESPECIALLY USA😢

  7. I have a Girlfriend living there, since she went from Germany to Haiti back to live there , she's saying they need, immens help in every way possible soon as possible if affordable.
We're planning to create an Gofound to help.

  8. This documentary(?) lost credibility with its "..you know, racism" over-simplification. Isn't DW better than this? I will continue to subscribe and watch, assuming this is a one-off, but please do better at exposing truths with full transparency and analysis and not some high-schooler style bold truism without context.
