  1. Too many humans using too many natural resources (fertilizers, top soil) and producing too much pollution and heat. We now number 3,000 times as many as were our ancestral migratory Hunter-Gatherer clans/bands. What could go wrong? Everything?

  2. Global tomato production has set a record each year for the past 10 years. Banana production has doubled in 20 years. All 10 of the largest sugar crops in global history occurred during the past 10 years. All 10 of the 10 largest rice crop years occurred during the past 10 years (UNFAO). 2023 was another record cereal crop.

  3. Really informative and clearly explained! I was aware of the need to produce food locally but not so aware of the need to increase global colaboration for food imports. Not sure about how that differs from capitalist globalisation.

  4. Also in Germany. More and more reports of crops being destroyed due to extreme weather conditions. less due to heat – this year – but due to an unusually large amount of hail, which ruined the grain.

  5. The last of the 3 people from Geneva reiterates my point ..she said the guy in Zimbabwe didn't have anything to do with the climate change…wrong…he has 6 children….that he can't feed…that he never truely even in the best of times could feed…and how many more thousand are doing the same…just in his country….

  6. The golden nuggett of this incoming sotrm is well described by the host at the end of the video, just when the interview is getting more interesting: "we run out of time"….yeap….we as a whole run out of time too

  7. When I seen the panel my eyes rolled so hard they nearly fell right out of my head.. not one farmer? And yet again we bring in George who’s research into this field has been brief and rushed, jumping to huge conclusions whilst missing several key points. We need to hear from farmers who are actively working on solving these global problems

  8. Food price inflation by 2023 was trending toward 1000% above 2020 levels by 2040. It's 1200% globally now.

If you're wondering, that's a $40 USD for a loaf of bread, if Americans can get bread.

  9. "My life's transformation still amazes me greatly of how I moved from an average lifestyle to earning over 78k monthly from investing in the financial market, I'm grateful for this incredible journey. My hard work, determination, and wise financial decisions made this possible. I'm living proof that dreams can become reality!"

  10. I have to say this was really informative discussion and without big panic. Food security is something I think about a lot, even as someone having it ensured for now. Big danger now is sudden collapse in certain regions, which can cause huge people suffering, refugees and security breakdown. Even being cynical West can't ignore this, otherwise there will be incredible price to pay.

  11. RECORD CROPS from what we hear, partly due to increased plant food in the guise of CO2.
Other factors have more influence on prices, such as shipping costs due to attacks in the Gulf meaning ships take upto 4 weeks longer on their journey than they did before, so 4 weeks extra fuel, wages etc to cover.

  12. Some good points but no talk of degrowth. . This system is unsustainable and it's unsustainable because we are placing more demands on planet earths biosphere than it can ever supply with frilly bits of tech and changes in rules tacked on. Food production does need to be localised! Imports should only be needed as a last resort, otherwise these nodding heads are just perpetuating exactly the current problem! Degrow and localise!

  13. Our community that we created in 3 locations and soon to be 4 locations around the world now has 9126 people living truly free lives. Zero cost of living and everyone has a home with independent sources of power, food and water without any exports or imports. Everything is recycled and reused. For almost 7 years now our communities are strong, independent and healthy. I personally used my wealth to create the foundations building high quality homes with solar power, water reclamation systems and waste renewable systems. There is always enough food and everyone lives in peace without any crimes whatsoever for 7 years. If a single person like myself can bring together people willing to change creating a thriving community with zero cost of living, free education, free health care and zero pollution then what can the world do as a whole. We are a thriving diverse people. Our communities are in South America, Canada and Iceland. Our next community that was just finished with 3000 homes is about to accept another 1200 people in a very hot climate in a secret location. Half the homes are underground and the other half are on land. We have successfully created an underground vineyard with 2 acres of grapes to produce wine for long term storage. A third of our community are studying scientist learning, evolving and adapting to all forms of climate change. The world must abandon cost of living or the future will be so terrible for the rest of the world. Peace without cost of living has proven successful. Capitalism is wrong, money is a cancer, government and corporate oppression is slavery. There is a better future if humanity wakes up before billions of people die from hunger, disease, displacement, slavery and lack of resources. Please save yourselves and wise up from the fake reality you all are living out there.

  14. I wish i had the power to change the world. This world needs healing and humanitarian efforts to bring great change. There is no future with cost of living. Capitalism and money is what drives climate change. Please wake up everyone and begin the change. Personally i would love to become the worlds dictator for peace and equality uniting the world into paradise. Political chaos of cry babies lying to the public and doing nothing to heal this world for personal wealth and power is corruption. The world must take drastic steps or there will be no future. Cost of living would be abandoned immediately. Taxes would be gone forever. The government would restructure with scientists and think tanks operating the world. Resources would be rationed to successfully create equality to all without cost. Massive projects would be created with volunteers wanting to create a better future. Destroying obsolete infrastructure to create high quality homes for everyone with independent solar power, hydroponic farming, water reclamation systems and waste management upgrades for renewable purposes. Resources rationed means less waste and properly focused on meeting basic needs. 90% of the world would shut down operations to the basic needs to heal climate change. Infrastructure like roads and highways would be torn down for forest regrowth. Too many roads and too many highways taking up precious land the world needs for a balance with nature. All homes will be independent to generate its own power, water and basic foods for survival. This is equality without cost built to the highest standard. Large cities will be forced to disperse populations allow most of the land to regrow back with nature. Too much concrete, steel and roads in one place creates a chaotic environment for health and safety. All dams will be torn down and allow natural flows of water to reclaim what was taken to nourish the ecosystem naturally as it should be. All laws will be abandoned to create peaceful coexistence with all life on planet earth. The only laws needed is for protection of all life on this planet. Any harm against another human is automatic prison sentence. That is the best solution to keep the peace. Without capitalism and money most of the laws in the world would become obsolete. Don't need a government dictating anything just oversight management of resources and safety of life. Abandon all nuclear weapons in the world is a must. Open borders across the world while all military converses to public safety with volunteers for justice. Wealth of knowledge and life becomes priority with enrichment of values with purpose. With no competition there will be fewer mistakes and higher quality technology will be achieved with higher evolved human beings. Longer lifespans will be achieved from less stressful environments with less pollution. Traffic in the world would be reduced 75% creating a quieter more stable environment for life. Less activity means climate change will begin to heal. Living in fear of everything is chaotic and depressing for anyone in this world. Why does it matter where you live, if you are male or female, what the color of your skin is or your personal beliefs. That is not important because we are the human race and the freedom in this world is taken from us with cost of living and government oppression. How would you feel tomorrow if an announcement was made stating all cost of living was suspended. All forms of currency is suspended. No more taxes or cost for anything. A simple requisition of something is all you needed to do and scheduling to receive said requisition was on first come first serve basis with equality of everyone. Almost everything can be created autonomously with technology already created. Imagine 90% of the world focusing on education and volunteering to create a new world of equality. Over 7 billion people can do a lot in a short time focused on one thing. Creating zero cost of living and creating homes for independent reliability. All grids should be torn down. We don't need grids and lines going everywhere. Imagine a world contribution to humanity is voluntarily. People will wise up and become better human beings. People will evolve with higher learning shedding past misconceptions of stupidity for personal gain. If you have all your needs met without stressing then life will have meaning. Fix the world with one life a time. Freedom is a personal choice. If a person doesn't want to have kids there should be a means of prevention without abortion. If a person is a danger to society or an individual has a mental condition then there should be care facilities to educate and house those in need. Most people who are dangerous are victims themselves in some way or form. Any and all threats to any safety of human life should be locked up for life but given a just humane experience while in prison. Safety is the most important thing in this world but creating fear and oppression to manage safety is not the way. Creating safety with humility will define us as a species that we are ready for the next evolutionary next step.
