  1. Gordon Ramsay heads to KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa to learn about the secrets of Zulu cuisine. Have you had the chance to try Zulu cuisine?

  2. From about the mid-15th century Portuguese explorers were regularly rounding South Africa to get to India and spices were traded at Delagoa Bay (now Maputo). Peri peri (or piri piri) chicken (like Nandos) was born of this almagation between Indian spices, Portuguese cuisine and African birds eye chillis.

  3. Please don't forget that chillies aren't native to India or Asia. All capsicum fruit is originally from the Americas. When the Europeans colonized the Americas they took chili peppers and brought them to Europe, Asia, and Africa.

  4. India and Africa cultures had connection long before the British.. I guess even most Indians don't know about Kumarikandam (Lemuria). It was a place which connected Africa and southern part of india. And India and africa were together millions of years back.
Though we have different culture, We have common words , food and so on.
