How Gen Z Is Buying Homes Younger Than Millennials And Boomers Did
In 2023, Gen Z led in homeownership among young adults, with a higher rate of homeownership at age 24 compared to millennials and Gen X at the same age. Despite their relatively small share of the housing market and challenges like high prices and limited inventory, many Gen Z individuals are determined to buy homes in the near future. This…

Are these numbers adjusted for inflation??
I’m so confused…. There’s literally a video on their YouTube channel that talk about how hard it is to be a home owner and now kids can buy a home hahahah
If you think I’m buying your house you’re crazy kid. Do it alone how I did it.
Lies!!! Let’s burn this popsicle stand
I love these contradicted stories one minute Gen Z cannot buy house the next minute they are, which which story is true🤔
My wife and I are millennials, and we are getting help with purchasing our first home from her parents. it's the parents, there's no way in heck to afford a new home without someone helping you.
how gen z buying a house?
-trolling in social media to become an influencer
-crypto currencies
-onlyfans
-begging on twitch-tiktok for money
Boomers had it good, i graduated High School in 07' when the job market hit the dump, and the minimum wage was 7.50, i joined the Marines. Now you got gen z kids living basically like gen x as far as wages compared to the quality of life because i remember hearing of 18 year olders making 25 an hour buying new cars off the lot.
If you're watching this thinking who are these kids that are buying homes so young need to take a step back and look no further than your parents.
Why are your parents not helping you with the down payment and part of the mortgage? Why are your parents not setting you up on the right foot towards wealth? They either don't love you or are financial losers. It's mean but the truth.
None of these children by Holmes their parents do
wtf
They're building garbage. I live in a county of morons. They were afraid to develop the community college because they said they were afraid it would turn into a college park, University of Maryland or a college town which is kind of ghetto and crappier than my area. But now they're letting the big builders build tons of cheap crappy housing that's going to flip ghetto real quick with nothing productive like a college. Drunk Rednecks were afraid that developing college would ruin things. Now it's drunk developers trying to make easy money with drunk idiot construction workers that can barely make a triangle. It's a country of idiots that want easy money and simple jobs.

Y’all need to read the room. Employers aren’t hiring and some companies have gone almost entirely automated, like Klarna. No workers=no proof of income for banks to approve home loans. And even those who are still employed can’t afford the listing prices and are petrified of being eliminated at any moment. What faith does that engender to take up a 30-year mortgage? News flash: It doesn’t.
Billionaires/millionaires are poised to snatch up your homes at rock-bottom prices and then, when they’ve gotten their fill, rehire workers to drive demand for housing. It sounds cruel… but this is exactly what happened in our last Depression. This is just the way things are.
Buying a home is an investment. NOT a guarantee.
Gen z makes the worst decisions ever
It is difficult to make exact projections for the housing market as it is still unclear how quickly or to what degree the Federal Reserve will reduce inflation and borrowing costs without having a substantial negative impact on demand from consumers for anything from houses to cars.
The amount of bots in the comment section is wild.
I guess Gen X doesn’t exist.
Not us brother, do some research and really just open your eyes. Who tf is buying a home rn in the new generations? Its been barred off from us
Im a gen z who was so lonely and isolated partially due to an internet addiction since childhood i had no passions or hobbies so i had all this money saved up and decided to buy property out of a fear of one day becoming completely alienated and homeless. I regret doing it but i just wanted to clear up for people saying its all parents
I’m 24 and I don’t know not 1 person my age with a house most people start moving out at age 35
Gen Z and I bought a house. Just worked the system right and didn’t get any debt actually graduated with money and got a good paying job that pays above average
Yeah.. no…
They can’t even make coffee…lmao
So sick of these conflicting reports. First it was: gen z can’t afford to rent let alone buy and have to live w their parents; then, it’s: gen z is buying up homes and outpacing millennials in home ownership at their age. All this in less than a few months’ time. I call BS. Anecdotal outliers do not represent the majority. This is skewed and bias reporting. Gen z can’t even afford basic groceries or rent and they want us to believe they’re buying up homes at a faster rate than any other generation. Clowns
This happened with the 2004 housing boom – home prices were greatly inflated, meaning people couldn't sell later because they owed more on the house than they could sell for. I know quite a few people who bought then, thinking they were making a good investment to sell later, but it's taken until the COVID housing boom for the prices to come back to those original amounts.
Good for ya'll. No hate.
this is a joke
Wow, yes, let’s infuse more government money into the housing market! I’m sure that will fix it and not have any unintended consequences /s
people really in the comments arguing the actual statistic. There are the haves and the have nots — if you don't know anyone in your older genz group that bought a house (with or without their parents money) you're probably in the have nots. You should not need to be wealthy to own a basic home w/ a 30 year mortgage in this country-be angry about it and demand change.
As a millenial i have no desire to own a home ever. Grew up in houses and im done with that. I love apartment /condo life. Just walk down stairs to all the shops and back up. If need be we will get a bigger one for more space…
As a gen z lot of my peers come from broken family homes & trauma. older gens make fun of us because we admit our issues of depression and anxiety. we choose to get mental help work our ass off and stay united with our partners to raise our children together as families and Strive for there future because as it’s been said all our lives children are our future we’re breaking generational curses and I’m proud of us! Hugs from a first gen American who strives to make my community and environment a better place for my family and my peers!
This cannot be true

Gen Z aren’t doing on their own if their parents are still backing them.
A 21 year old college student with no job did not buy that $200,000 home. His parents did!
Worked in real estate in one of the biggest cities in this country, this is definitely not true. In fact my ears are bleeding trying to listen to this. Nothing more than a push message to get more younger ownership as its been very hard in these economic times. 🙈
NICE TRY DIDDY
lol this video is more to pump Genz and others to buy homes, pump pump pump baby
How dare you have the nerve to lie about an entire generation to their faces?
stop the cap
2 things, parents plus remote work, buy a house 200 miles away from the city for 250k
What the puck are you talking about.
