Bro, no disrespect, but not all so-called African Americans came from Africa. I know more about history than most people. As Americans, we aren't taught the full story of World or US history, and much is left out.
For example, Liberia began in the early 19th century as a project of the American Colonization Society (ACS), which believed black people would have better chances for freedom and prosperity in Africa than in the United States. Between 1822 and the outbreak of the American Civil War in 1861, more than 15,000 freed and free-born African Americans, along with 3,198 Afro-Caribbeans, relocated to Liberia. Gradually developing an Americo-Liberian identity, the settlers carried their culture and traditions with them.
Do you think we shared some of their culture because they brought it from the Americas? This is just one example of how history is often misrepresented to us.

Liberia is a settler colonial project founded by white racists in the ACS. The organization was founded explicitly to exclude newly emanicipated slaves into full enfranchisement in America. This context is important to figure out why the Americo-Liberians ran their country in such an exploitative way and then figuring out why the civil war happened in the late 20th century.

Liberia was one of the fastest developing sub saharan African countries before the civil war. After that, it became a true wasteland. Interesting, most of the Americo Liberians moved afterwards and it still hasn't returned to its former glory.

As a Nigerian American I have experienced and understand racial relations in America and know and understand what's going on in other African countries. I feel the best thing for black people all over the world is to learn from these mistakes and heal. You even have it today where some African ethnic groups or countries exploit others. We still have work to do, but we can.

After the formation of ( ACS) The American Colonization Society in 1816 on Dec 21st. ( Charles Dunbar Burgess King / Edward James Roye.. were not descendants. They conspired against them.. Liberian apartheid is not spoken about or written anywhere ( dark history..). Americo Liberians were still subject to slavery. and so they enslaved natives. , stole land, acted exactly like their colonizers. Several battles took place. They were, tgey claimed afraid of the indigenous people, so thecwhite man gave them guns and canon to kill thev people that welcome them freely.. hence the civilvwar ( after 150yrs). Turnover was around( 1852- 1942). By design on papers only..

Believing themselves to be culturally and educationally superior to the indigenous people of Africa, the Americo-Liberians developed as an elite minority that created and held disproportionate political power until 1989. They excluded natives from economic opportunities such as education, or owning a business.
Instead, they created plantations on which natives were forced to work as slaves… enacting the same binding chains they were just recently freed from.
Indigenous Africans were also excluded from birthright citizenship in their own land until 1904.
Liberia and Israel are very similar. Created by white supremacists to get rid of undesired non-whites from the white dominated Weat, turn the formally colonized into colonizers and destabilize the regions in which they were created.
