  1. So with the delay I think all of the like standard/ultimate shits done with and if you get the standard version you’ll get I think they said everything plus the first DLC when that comes out and some new missions that but yeah no when this was announced I argued with someone for a good half hour just because he said he didn’t like that there was and I quote “zero Japanese representation in a Japanese ac game”

  2. Still waiting to see if all this controversy actually affects sales. History has shown it is Price, being broken on release, bad gameplay, or/and bad writing that actually kills a game.
Price is already negative, Ubisoft games already have a history of being broken on launch, Gameplay is yet to be seen, and the writing is the only part where I see Yasuke MAYBE having an impact on sales.

  3. 1:59 Well they have now and they hate it. It's not even about Yasuke as much as the cases of using religious and cultural symbols without permission, misspelling Kanji, and using Chinese architecture and calling it Japanese. There have even been threats of lawsuits.

  4. You know I was thinking about it for a second… and I thought that a man of African descent who was trained by Japanese masters to become a samurai actually sounded pretty cool. It’s kinda like you don’t gotta be Japanese, but as long as you got the skill chops you can join. I don’t know that’s just kinda cool to me

  5. The Japanese people hate it too tho

If you want a black protagonist , make it about an Assassin in Africa

or in the American civil war or something

Nobody is complaining about AC: Freedom Cry, in which you play as Adewale , or AC: Liberation , where you play as Aveleine as being "woke"

    setting matters

  6. This all B.S. the American professor who started this lie and changed Wikipedia twice to support his lies, has been fired and deported ..!!
Thomas Lockley lied about all this in a planned woke " Japan had slaves" agenda..!

  7. TBH, seeing a black samurai in japan kicking but, did not sit well with me.

because if i also saw a white, hispanic, asian person casted in a movie or videogame performing as BLADE and kicking but, then i would also be mad.

As a Mexican if i saw a Nordic looking human as an Aztec Warrior sacrificing pow's to Huitzilopochtli , i would also be mad.

If this makes me a racist, then maybe I AM.

All i can honestly say is i'm sorry guys, is just the way i feel and i cant control it.

  8. I like that this video is a skit – because if it weren't – I'm sure the left would be on you. This is how double standards work. You can joke, but only if 'we the left' aren't the 'but' of the joke.

With the recent news that Yasuke was placed in the game following the death of George Floyd and the BLM explosion (and that there was a playable Japanese male protagonist) – I would argue that now we know there was an agenda, and this had nothing to do with Diversity or Representation in a video game. Ubisoft also suffers from toxic positivity – which stunts logic and critical thinking within the office – as no one can say what they think, for fear of being perceived as racist and you could lose your job.

I think you have a great channel and I do like your skits – but since you picked a side and decided to save your skin instead of using logic and common sense, it hasn't been the same. I'm not saying the Grummz, Endimion, Asmongold or Elon are the gospel truth of the internet, but there is one thing I agree with them on – and its that video games and social political views/ideologies shouldn't mix.

A video game is an opportunity to tell and interact with a story – without it being a messaging system for telling me how to think or what I should be comfortable to consume in the games I play.

You can have a political story inside a video game, but it doesn't mean the video game is political. (Yes people think this is mad) But I don't see Hideo Kojima, one of the greatest story tellers of our time, marching the streets in protest of anything – yet he created one of the best political stories in video game history – which focused on one man being a selfless hero while trying to honour his mentor along the way.

The feedback on Yasuke has nothing to do with racism – sure there are some bad apples in there who make the rest of us look bad – but they don't speak for me or most of the people I see pushing back on the DEI agenda in video games.

If they want to make DEI video games, go right ahead – no one will buy it as already clarified with Concord, Dustborn and many others – but just leave the established IPs alone.

  9. Bro thought he did something here by implying anyone who doesn't like black samurai is racist imagin if they did the opposite and made a white protagonist in Africa

  10. At leask keef admits the pandering unlike the other blindfolded wokes.

(Eveb though there is not Any such demographic who'd feel well represented playing as a black samurai on a Japanese setting.

Even there is such demographic it's not that big or profitable enough for the studio to pander on)
