I’d love a video of how they learned that it can make you blind and why is the first register of a blind person due to a eclipse ❤ great video by the way

So, after experiencing my first solar eclipse I found myself questioning how ancient civilizations even knew an eclipse was going on. I ask this because of the fact that I was quite a bit north of the totality zone and if I hadn't known it was happening today, or didn't have my glasses, it would've just seemed like a normal day. Seeing videos at totality you could definitely notice the atmosphere darken to almost twilight so I can see them noticing the effects in that sense. But to actually see the sphere of the moon pass in front of the sphere of the earth an ancient civilization would actually need some sort of tool, right? Considering that it's depicted almost exactly what it would look like when viewing it through your glasses in their ancient texts. Can anyone shed some light on this?

I wish people would actually study history & biblical text before voicing their opinions. It's all there, buried, but it's there
